i noticed that alot of Oda's things in One Piece also comes from my childhood that were i used to watch lots of cartoons.
like for example Franky's inspiration can be of three things, Ace Ventura awesome character mind you protrayed by the awesome jim carrey, Popeye, and also one of my favorite 80's cartoons and one with a catchy intro Inspector gadget.
also i love One Piece because it has alot of things going for it and also its what i wanted in an anime and Manga, Action, Adventure, Drama, Comedy, and Romance.
