I apologize in advance if there is a similar thread. I searched "End of One Piece" and "Final Battle" but nothing related came up….
I've found myself wondering lately how the extraordinary adventure that is One-Piece will end, and who the SHs will battle last goes hand in hand with that. So many ideas have gone through my mind, including, but not limited to: The Blackbeard Pirates, the WG of course, and The Red-Haired Pirates.
I would like to know who you think will be the SH's last enemy.....

I also believe there's a lot of things involving Blackbeard, and little explanation. Also, he seems to have a power to defy any Fruit User (and, fortunately, a weakness which turns him into an interesting character). Also, we should not forget that Blackbeard's the real world's Oda's favorite pirate. 
Anyone that might be, I just hope that's not just a "final boss that appears only at the last level of the game", someone who we never heard about and is said to be the strongest shit to ever appear on Jump Comics. To build up interest on the last boss from early in the stories wise is, so said my D&D DM. And I do agree with him entirely.

One Piece will end like Lost will end. With NOTHING resembling the original story, characters who we never thought would be important turn out to be extremely important to the plot, and the setting will be completely different.
No one can predict what One Piece will look like at the end, hell, no one knew that the main cast would be Luffy, Crocodile, Daz Bones, Galdino, Bentham, Ivankov, Inazuma, Jinbei and Buggy for probably 4+ volumes.

When the Strawhat Pirates arrive at Raftel they find that Ordinary Everday Person Sam wandering around looking for his third daughter's wedding. When they ask him where One Piece is he says he ate it, thinking it was a twinkie. The screen switches between Sam and the Strawhats a couple times and then cuts to black.

truthfully i hope oda brings in another major character for luffy's last opponent . i don't think black beard is the last enemy.i do have a no liking for black beards character and it may be bias but i just don't think he's the final villian. he's major important but in my eyes he doesn't seem final worthy.i'm more incline to believe the character that oda is planning to give the eye patch to is more possible to be the final character

Blackbeard and his crew were foreshadowed since Drum. He defeated and captured Luffy's brother. He's a 'D', and possesses loads of traits that Luffy, Ace, and Garp have already shown.
If this guy isn't waiting at Raftel for Luffy after he kicks Whitebeard's ass (Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout) I'll be surprised.
However, prediction and specualtions are a whole lot harder when you're deciding Oda's next move.
I personally hope it's Mugiwara vs. Kurohige.
They'll be a giant fight between the Pluton and the Poseidon. The good guys will have the Poseidon, the bad guys the Pluton. It will be literally earth-shaking.
Certainly the World Government itself will be the last big villain of One Piece. Blackbeard may go down at Marinford (I think Luffy will fight Blackbeard at Marinford and win…wether or not it's a permanent victory remains to be seen of course as Blackbeard could show up again at Raftel). But certainly Raftel is not the end of One Piece. I think the final big chunk of the story only begins with Luffy reaching Raftel and becoming Pirate King.
As I've thought ever since chapter 100, when Dragon gave the quote from Roger that definitely seemed to be anti-WG, I've thought that Dragon had the same goal as Roger. All the information since about Roger and Dragon clearly shows Roger had big plans. First we found out Dragon was a revolutionary during Drum Island...a revolutionary who quotes the Pirate King? Wouldn't that mean the former King had the same goal as said revolutionary? Then we find out about Nico Robin, the Phoneglyphs, and the True History being hidden. We then find out Roger could read or had someone who could read those Phoneglyphs on his crew...he knew the True History...isn't it possible Dragon knows as well if he shares Roger's ideals? Next we see the extent to which the WG will go to hide that history in Enies Lobby, to use so many resources all to exterminate Nico Robin.
Finally, the two piece of the puzzle I was waiting for - Monkey D. Dragon and Gol D. Roger are both D's, sharing the same "inhereted strength of will." Robin and Rayleigh's conversation on Shabondy Archipelago really solidified this theory for me. Roger intentionally died and intentionally created the Great Pirate Era. He was a dying man, so he intentionally began the great era of piracy....but why? His successor, the next pirate king would need the same inherited strength of will, the Will of D. to reach Raftel. The True History remains hidden there as only the next Pirate King could use this information effectively. The World Government has shown itself to be a cruel and dominating force in the world of One Piece. They are the final villains, the ones Roger wanted to defeat, but could not due to his terminal illness. Rayleigh even said he woudl tell the Straw Hats the true history without hesitation on Shabondy if they wished to know....but truthfully they weren't ready.
Why wouldn't they be prepared if it's just a simple history lesson? Wouldn't this simple statement imply that the True History is so shocking it would cause a man like Luffy to want to act immediately? To go to war with the World Government directly before he's ready? I don't think it's a coincidenc that shortly after Luffy was unable to defeat Admiral Kizaru and Shichibukai Kuma. It showed just how weak he still is compared to the higher ups in the World Gov....and I somehow doubt the Shichibukai and Admirals are their top fighters. There's still Fleet Admiral Sengoku, and the Gourosei themselves, who bear the scars of warriors.
Who exactly will be the final opponents of the Straw Hat Pirates? I don't think they've been introduced yet. Who they will represent? Certainly, the World Government.
Blackbeard still hasn't done anything "end villian worthy" besides being the amoral paralell of Luffy, but I spect in any moment for him to do something prety badass and become the end boss, not because I think of him as cool, but because the buildup that Oda has given him.

I see fighting against BB crew… But for Zoro I dunno. His goal is best swordsman. Mihawk is the greatest one. So he would be feel left out after gaining the title and fighting a "weaker" Shiryuu (I think he joined BB)
For all we know BB is not going to be the final one. They could randomly meet on an island in the new world and brawl it out there. For all we know, it could be one of the supernovas or even an enemy that we don't know yet.

well it's stupid but my theory is
Black beard beats white beard and decides to unite the Shichibukai together and succeed from their alliance with the marines making them enemies of the marines Black beard has a tough time keeping them together and they almost split but finally finds a way to get them together…. the straw hats
black beard realizes that he can use the SH crew to keep them together how does this keep them together well they by this time (just a prediction again) will have beaten the heads of the marines and proved themselves against the yonoku (way in the future) so it is known these two groups will have to clash so here it comes
Black Beard: wants too face luffy anyways
Mihawk: wants to fight zoro
Donquixote Doflamingo: wants to face sanji (This is also something I’m predicting… won’t tell reasoning here though it will just make my argument sound dumber)
Gecko Moria: pissed at the SH wants revenge
Kuma: obviously has some intrest in the SH
Now he needs the last two members (ask me why)
Jinbei: one day kuma appears to him out of the blue and tells him that if he doesn’t join them BB is threatening to destroy fish man island
Boa Hancock: Is simply told to take out the girls in luffy’s crew because they are an obstacle to her love or that BB won’t kill luffy if she works with them

Luffy will finish the series as pirate king, sailing the seas with his crew until they fade into legend, with the exception of Franky and Robin's child, who will grow up to become pirate king himself.
Its fairly obvious that Usopp will die in the last Chapter. Coughing and with blood guzzling out his mouth Luffy holds him and speaks the last words to be spoken in One Piece.
"You have become a brave warrior of the sea."

These things are very important to me, cause after endings like Dragon Ball/Z/GT in various anime, I want to be left being happy, not sad or pissed off or regretful.
I want to believe that after they find OP, that luffy doesn't stop there he continues to keep exploring and treasure hunting with the crew, it's a big world and just finding one treasure doesn't mean you found the BEST treasure ever, it's just the best that's KNOWN.

basically all their dreams, happiness, of course one piece, and the status of fking famous pirates,
but hey. this is ONE PIECE we're talking about, so it'll probably end up being some super epic ending, knowing its oda (hopefully his still alive in 10 years or so) and being the end to the number one, best selling manga title in japan, there'll probably be the best back story ever, most epic battle ever, some new powers, again, epic battle, and their dreams, though i would like each member to go back to their home town for a visit afer becoming the world's strongest pirate crew before sailing again.

I honestly think Luffy prevailing in the end is a bit cliche. He shouldn't prevail. Luffy always went on about the "adventure" and even threatened to quit being a pirate (After Usopp tried to discover the location of One Piece from Rayleigh. I think Luffy's journey to becoming Pirate King is more important to him than actually become Pirate King. Thoughts?
I'm quite tired of seeing the protagonist always prevailing. I think the journey is more important than the end result.
I hear the song of the celestial heavens and the music is cacophonous. It is strange, but I find comfort in its dissonance.
Errr, isn't it the journey that's supposed to make a person the Pirate King in the first place? The way I see it, Luffy just understands that better than most people who seem to just want an "I win" button.
