It seems there's quite a few more OP cosplayers that congregate on here then coscom or the AFest boards, so I thought I would put a shoutout here For that awesome con most of us enjoy waaay more then A-Kon!

I'm finally glad to get out of laziness over this series and get some cosplays done. I'm going to have Kaku and Young Iceberg for this con, and I'm super excited XD I've been asked by someone else wanting to do a CP9 shoot and I know there are a few cosplayers out there so if anyone else is interested let me know~

I know there are a few special groups planned, but I was also interested in doing a general get together shoot, it also seems like alot of people have misc. cosplays that don't really fit into a group and/or the more OP the merrier XD

So who all is going?

I'd like to go, but right now it's up in the air =_=;; I still wanna plan to make it, though I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to find someone elses room to crash in for Saturday and possibly Sunday xD I dunno yet, but if I DO get to go, I'm HOPING AND PRAYING that I can have Mouji done so the Buggy Pirates can hit up Afest again this year..though.. Mouji wasn't done last year so he'll be new XD Also my sis and I might be doing X Drake and Eustass Kidd, I doubt anyone else is going to be doing any Super Nova cosplay unless you're counting Zoro and Luffy xD A lof of my friends who usually do CP9 I don't believe are doing it/lost interest in it, so I dunno if I'll be bringing Spandam, I want to remake parts of it that are too big now so who knows XDDD I can't WAIT To see another Kaku, CP9 is my fav arc of all time, though Impel Down is proving to be just as AMAZINGLY EPIC.

Yeah I totally got unlazy and posted here again, I'm surprised my account was still here XD

Yeah the CP9 stuff has passed with a lot of people, though I've been bringing it up again and a surprising number of people are super excited for another group. It's still my favorite arc so.. XD Even if the boat has passed a bit its still too epic not to do.

Oh yeah Impel Down stuff MUST HAPPEN for next year. I'm doing Spandam for a CP9 group at AB and possibly A-Kon unless this starts forming by then, still figuring out who all I'm going to do…. X_X Right now I'm excited to do Spandam but seriously not going to have time to do it for anything earlier then All-Con... which hardly anyone there will recognize it but I'm still wearing it anyway ((pffft had some really interesting experiences this year with cosplay there XD))

I LOVE CP9, I just feel some of my friends are burnt out on it, I wish they'd try and cosplay from different arcs though, maybe then they wouldn't get soo tired of the same cosplays x_x;; ahahaha I have far too many One Piece cosplay aspirations myself, Mouji being at the TOP of the list along with Paulie. I have EVERYTHING for Paulie, it just has to be all sewed together =_=;; ahaha.. the fun part. OH, I don't have all the cigars yet, that's another thing I have to do, but all the material, the goggles, the boots, all bought already. Just have to get a rope

oh yeah.. and hope my hair grows out long enough before then too. Before Oni-con it should grow a couple of inches, I dunno if it'll be long enough before Afest, but if the costume is complete, and my mom lets my sis and I go, I might just cosplay him reguardless.

I totally cannot get anyone to do young Franky, he even wears shorts at one point but my friend royally disturbed the guy I was trying to get to do it with the sea panties…. joy XD

AnimeFest, I'm on the fence as well because right now I don't have the money (at all) I really REALLY want to go to Oni-con though

But a CP9 group at A-fest would be the shit. I'm trying right now to put together a Doberman Cosplay (If anyone remembers his ugly ass) But at the same time I really wanna cosplay Afro Luffy as well…

Hopefully If I get the money to drive to Dallas then I can have both costumes done :'D

^Seriously. Though VERY few guys are comfortable with their masculinity to walk around the con in sea panties. Speedos are now to be referred to as sea panties, always.

It's very true XD Paulie is the Water 7 slashslut. I've pretty much seen him slashed with almost all of the main characters of that particular arc. Kaku and Lucci especially.

Ooo and Doberman would be awesome.

I think, for all the people who have costumes done already the only one missing is Blueno >_> I can see people getting tired of doing them because it's been like what, 2-3 years since the cosplay really started? I got tired of one of my cosplays after 3 cons (mostly because part of it fell apart X_X)

I like wearing Kaku, but I feel like people are getting tired of it, and I may be getting a little burnt out on One Piece cosplay. So I am trying to branch out a little. I may or may not take Kaku, I usually wind up wearing him XD Now to see if I would rather do Galley La or CP9, dunno yet. I just can't think of any other characters I want to do. And there is also the whole money issue. I am usually living paycheck to paycheck, so its a miracle I even cosplay.

But yeah, I am going to be cosplaying Goku, I'm excited to do Dragon Ball cosplay! Its long overdue since I love DB almost as much as OP. That wig is going to be fun to style. The only good one I've seen on Ebay was $100. I can style one myself for way less.

Though it is exciting to hear about more CP9 cosplayers! I'll be looking forward to seeing another Kaku!!

I don't think I've ever seen a Galley-La group at the local cons, that would be really fun to do. If I don't horribly procrastinate on Rev. America I'm doing that version of Kaku for winter, it shall be something warm and comfortable. Must get it done before or shortly after Yule-con, Spandam and paying for AB will suck up all my money after that DX

Yeah getting burned out on cosplay is totally understandable >_> I'm the world's worst about it (some things get lots of time and money spent and only make it to one con!)… I've had some more fun/epic things lately so I'm trying to keep stuff alive for alot longer... need to stop tearing things up too X_X And not do a million Hetalia cosplays, totally must stop at 3 (Rev America is a giantass project for a n00b like me, don't feel like doing anymore besides Denmark after that X_X)

One Piece is just too epic though, I don't really see getting tired of them that fast. That will probably make up most of my list for next year unless i get started on my ball gown... >_> That's going to be an adventure...

Your America is epic . . . and yea Rev America is a stretch but I think you can do it with enough time.

I haven't even started or looked at Germany and my friend asked if I could help with her Britain.

If I can finish Kuma this week, I will start on Terry though I dont think he'll be done for Afest . .

So poor DX Totally have to buy 4 wigs, $53 compression vest, and Kaku's swords DX So need job, or so must sell art this summer. I'm waiting to do the tux part for Kaku, Ponyo's dress, and Ice's clothes till a little bit before the con as I've started to lose weight X_X And I totally need to get started on Rev America now because it will probably take me a longass time since I've never really sewn like, real clothes (Trucy's cape does not count XD) @_@

I need to get in touch with this one guy who wanted to take our CP9 shoot, it was going to be Friday or Sunday night whatever worked best for him @_@ Never heard back on that, sounded excited about it though…

I was planning to wear Young Ice on Sunday, but he probably is a no because I have no one to paint on the tattoos, as well as I could stand to lose some more weight.... DX Pisses me off its the last chance I have this year to wear him though, there won't be time at Yulecon. Definately for Otakon though. xD

maybe if you can make a stencl of the tatoos then panting them on would be easy, my friend ian uses one for Zell so if the design is complex maybe try that approach

The tattoos aren't complex at all, personally I think they're simple but I draw, and for someone who doesn't draw (like, my roomies XDDD) it probably is hard so…. the stencil thing sounds good XDDD

If you waited till Otakon I'm sure there'd be a young Franky somewhere to take pics with xDD I'd love to cosplay as Younger Franky too, I mean.. I just love Iceburg and Franky sooo much xDDD I have always wanted to cosplay Franky, but for someone with huge thighs and legs..there's NO CHANCE that I'm EVER going to be wearing A) A bathing suit or B) A Speedo. Nope xDDD

Oh I'll definitely take him to Otakon XD I was hoping I could wear him to AFest because it's something that's comfortable and not so warm (compared to America @_@), the same deal with Ponyo. I'll only have America and Kaku (and maybe my new PW one if I can get the stuff in time), so it would be nice to have some cool, comfy stuff as well XD

Oh god..don't even get me started on uncomfortable cosplays x_x;; Kidd was like wearing a winter coat in the hottest days of the summer, though honestly at Akon this year it WASN'T anywhere NEAR as hot as it normally is THANK GOD DX!!!!! When I cosplayed Burgess and Mr.Prince..they were sooo soo sooo soo comfortable, though cosplaying as Shabondy Usopp was comfy too, I guess Kidd was my only really trying cosplay to wear during Akon, but yeah x_x;; Wearing Spandam is a bitch too since he's soo damn covered with gloves, a mask, the works. Iceburg was hot too ;__; I was soo sweaty in that damn coat xD

Holy crap it's tomorrow @_@ It's just sprung up out of nowhere almost (atleast for me, I've had a lot on my mind).

Still got to dye the wig (i didnt get to it today X_X lazy) and sew on the zipper and the jackets done @_@ and finish some nose details, and I'm ready. May I find a temp dress for Ponyo tomorrow, otherwise I'll just have America and Kaku to wear (I COULD bring Trucy but meh, don't feel like messing with it).

I need to get my ass in gear and make more wearable costumes once I get that new machine >_> Though I've made things, they don't last very long/are a pain to wear. Kaku should be more sturdy, so that should give me two lasting costumes now (though America needs to be updated).
