@shinpanman:
I dunno, for the longest time I felt like I could relate to One Piece a lot, because even though I'm not an especially social person, I'd always had a tight group of friends I could sit and laugh with. When we were younger we all shared the same interests and dreams, and even as we got older and all that changed we still stuck together because of all we'd been through as friends. Since college started and everyone went their different ways though, it's left kind of a void in my life. I still room with my friend of ten years, but I feel like we don't really have the same dynamic anymore when we're not a big rowdy group like the Strawhats. It was fun while it lasted but I guess our pirating days are over. Becoming an adult really sucks in a lot of ways.
TMI, but I guess what I mean to say is that I do view friends/comrades like Luffy does to a certain extent. I'm all about making powerful, long term connections with people, I just wish I could hold my friends together better like he does.
Y'know, I sorta-kinda relate to this. Back in high school, I was the man. Friends with everyone, even the teachers! It was a sweet life… After high school, not s'much. I'm pretty much down to about 4 friends now (including my best friend, whom I've known for about a decade). I always do like to meet cool new people, though, and make new friends. Shit, I even pal'd up with someone right here at AP Forums!
But yeah, circles of friends take one helluva beating once you leave high school.
@tigerlilly:
That kind of friendship is the best! I wanna be your Miss All Sunday.
Aslong as we conquer some kingdoms and make a princess suffer on the way you can even stab me in the end!
(But don't expect me to bust you out of Jail afterwards…)
Judging by your picture, you'd look pretty good in a cowboy hat and a skimpy, fringed outfit, so let's go for it! Don't be suprised if I search you regularly for vials of water, though. Not that it'll make much of a difference anyway.
Also, if some dork in a straw hat shows up, I ain't playin' games. Gonna make sure he's dead the first time!
