So I saw this game on another forum and just HAD to make a thread for it here. It's a puzzle game where you have a certain objective in a level and you can solve it in any way possible. If you complete the objective, then you get something called a starite and move on. For example, if there's a starite in a tree you can chop the tree down with a chainsaw, have a beaver eat the tree, knock the starite down with a ball, etc. When you complete a level in three different ways, you unlock it for free play mode.

Yeah, this one looked neat. I never played Drawn to Life or Lock's Quest but I might get this one. Should be harmless, quirky fun.

I've never played either of those either, but from how good this game looks I might pick of one or both of them.

I think they said there's going to be Drawn to Life 2 or something like that.

I actually almost bought Lock's Quest but there was an influx of games back when it came out and that was one the games I choose to skip. It's probably been sold at discounted price by now so perhaps I should reconsider buying it.

Looks really really good. I'll have to trade in a few DS games I've got collected dust on the shelf for this one. Can't wait to try out "folding chair" and "football player".

This game is the one I am looking forward to the most this year. Hell, out of all the games I'm looking forward to (2009 and beyond), this tops them all (even more that Mass Effect 2 and Metroid: The Other M). I adore games that really just shatter every mold there is. I cannot wait to run that word list through the ringer, find out what things so, see how many combinations I can do, etc. I seriously need this game.

^ Seriously? What do you mean by summoning intangible objects? I couldn't find anything on summoning things when I looked it up. The plot's pretty interesting though .

Scribblenauts, though, is a puzzle game and I absolutely adore puzzle games. Especially ones that strive to be different like this game. I mean, did you watch the video I posted? It's GOD VS A KRACKEN! And they also said that they had God and Death fight and Death won .

Wow, this thread was really buried.

I preordered this just the other day and will probably get it the day it comes out. If you preorder you get a real life version of the rooster hat the main character wears in the game . Here's a picture

What?!? No copyrighted items?! Then, how can I make the Kraken explode from drinking a 'can of Pepsi' ? Without those 12 full ounces (that's a lot), there's no guarantee of success.

You can type in internet and a computer will pop up . They also have keyboard cat, longcat, Rick Roll, time machine, etc.

Not at the time I wrote my post. But that's a drag. I just hope terms like 'event horizon' work.

Got this game today and it's really cool. I've almost beaten all the 1-s. I've beaten a lot of them too by summoning a black hole . I summoned a fallout shelter on one of the levels and then set off an atom bomb but I still died :sad: . Try summoning the Large Hadron Collider, when you turn it on it breaks open and creates a black hole .

Are the touchscreen controls as bad as the reviews make it out? Do they make some puzzles as fiddly and annoying as I've heard?

I'm really interested in the user-created levels.

Is it possible to completely mimic the developer-made levels? Like in LittleBigPlanet.

You should be able to. I haven't tried it out though so I don't know for sure.

And on controls, I do kind of not like it that when you move the camera it'll snap back in like 3-5 seconds. They should have found some other way to do it just left it out. Other that that there's nothing else that bothers me about the controls.

Inaccurate. If you summoned Cthulhu, everyone's souls would be forfeit and anyone around him would be long dead for the sheer unrelenting horror that Cthulhu exudes simply by existing.

They had to tone down the horror and soul-forfeiting for the game but it's still cool. I tried Azathoth and Dagon but neither of those worked :sad: . I'm going to try and summon the Necronomicon.

Edit: The Necronomicon works! It looks like the one in Evil Dead with the screaming face on the cover.

Have you read the thread? Of course it's fun . It's basically a puzzle game, though so if you don't like puzzle games you most likely won't like this game.

I got this game two days ago and it has instantly become one of my favorites-it's just insanely fun.

There was a puzzle where 3 trick or treaters came to my door. Now, I could have just given them candy, but I wanted to be creative. I summoned the portal to hell in front of the 3 innocents, and Satan then popped out and proceeded to kill them.

For this I was rewarded with a Starite. Damn this game is awesome.

The ROFLCopter is in the game. But it sucks. It's not a ROFLCopter at all, just a smaller white version of the Helicopter.

Edit Ah I see. Any gun works (even the bazooka and explosive barrel launcher!) but they have to be on land to shoot.

Crap, I haven't gotten to play it during the past week :sad: .

I have noticed some problems with the weights and stuff though. I mean, I was able to blow the whale into the ocean with a fan .

Physics are nothing in this game. I also made a Pirate vs. Ninja like sill. The Pirate pwn'd him in one hit! Nice to see that. Also, I heard nothing can beat a vampire in combat, largely just a slime/blob can fight it forever without either dying. But a Vampire Hunter kills a vampire no sweat!

But a lot can kill a vampire hunter…

That's because pirate comes with a sword, why ninja only has a ninja star it's to stupid to even throw. if both have swords it's a draw.

Only fire can kill a blob (it blows up) and only stakes (which vamp hunters come with) garlic, holy water, or the sun. And Ghosts are only weak to proton packs.

A lot of wonderful things like that. Werewolfs fear silver, turn human into werewolves and turn human from the sun (and the moon?)

So, if you give a Ninja a katana they'll just fight forever? Aww…

EDIT: Just tried, the Ninja killed the Pirate! BOOOO! (also, it seems there's only a few swords in this game, and using other terms just brings them into play)

My pirate totally killed a ninja yesterday. But he didn't have a katana, so maybe that's why. I must try this out!

I think I figured it out. The problem is the ninja attacks first. Get the pirate mad first via earth magic and it seems to end up a draw every time.

They both killed each other the first time I tried it, then the ninja won, and the pirate won the third time.

The one who gets the first attack in is most likely to win, I'm guessing.

Jesus doesn't work. Ra, Anubis, God, Satan, Devil, Zeus (goes to God), Hades, (goes to devil), and Cthulhu work.
