Well, as far as England is, Mitsurugi has always been Mitsurugi. And we have a lot of games and whatever else that come out here that involve the word Ninja, too.
I remember the whole Hero Turtles thing, but that was just the most stupid change I've ever known. I think that it is known as Ninja Turtles here, as of the new series… but, there's a few possible things that might get changed, I think the weapons, mostly. But, using Turtles as an example, I don't think so. Although I'm not an avid watcher, or even a fan, of the latest series. I think it was just a case of the names of the weapons, somehow... because I believe that something like nunchucks were, or are, still illegal weapons.
Searching it up, here's an example of a cut that was made from a Bruce Lee film for England. I just want to add that there's some other mentioned articles, regarding porn and horror movies, that might not be suitable for younger Forum members.
That's a weird story, though. I wonder if it is real, or some kind of crazy hoax?
EDIT: Oh, and the same goes for the word Samurai … I don't think there's a lot of attention paid to those sort of things, here. Unless it came short of, "Hey, Kids! Leonardo says buy a sword, and cause havoc in the streets!" - But, honestly.. they do sell plastic TMNT weapons in toy stores, here. They make clanging noises, or something… like, wa-schaaa.
