Have you ever cried when you read a manga or watch anime?
For me, many times although I read it again and again.
What about you??

this could go to General One Piece ,isn't it
Not while reading the manga, but I often cry in front of the anime (though I'm a 25 y.o male). Whenever I watch the following scenes, I can't but drop tears (must be the music) :
ep. 30 : Sanji leaving the Baratie
ep. 36 : the scene when Belmer gets beaten up, then when she's shot
ep. 37 : Nami crying before the march towards Arlong Park
ep. 44 : Nami saying goodbye to Belmer
ep. 86 : Hiluluk's speech
ep. 90 : the Sakura tree
ep.113 : Karue shot
ep.126: Vivi's voice not heard and the part where the king thanks Luffy
Some scenes left me with my throat acking but didn't deserve a tear, like the end of episode 236 or Hiluluk shooting at Chopper in episode 85…
When I was readind the end of Noland's story.. just a tear
The end of 333. The only thing that's made me tear up.
I think I might've teared up during Chopper's past in the anime, most notably at the parts where Hiluluk chases Chopper away and that beautiful scene where Hiluluk gives his speech and blows himself up, with the choir and everything in the background.
The flashback of Bellemere's death. That was just overwhelming.
when luffy rang that golden bell in sky city. i didn't cry cuz i was sad, it was just a beautiful moment. i've also cried by laughing so hard in this series.
i cried lika a babay when Hiluluk made his speech,
and i shed some tears at the end of norlands flashback.
Yes, many times. I'm sappy.
quite a few times, i must say.
i cried at nami's flashback, i cried at chopper's flashback, i cried when the strawhats left vivi, i cried at that luffy and usopp.. thing.
it's all just a big tearfest.
sniff
Well, i've reached to the extent of nearly crying but never more. No idea why. All the emotional scenes that are stated by all the posts above really moved me close to tears.
during chopper's flashback.
the characters themselves cry a lot don't they?
and not just those single-tear-looking-into-the-sunset-while-looking-cool kind of cries, but real crying complete with the snot dripping from their noses.
i've also cried by laughing so hard in this series.
lol, me too!
only once, the whole usopp part.. y'know ;_;
I cry at almost everything that's remotely sad. X_x.;
The Usopp and Luffy thing struck a chord within me, as well as Franky's past. Arlong Arc made me want to cry several times, but I don't think I actually cried more than once, during the Bellemere flashback. The end of Arabasta arc, where they leave Vivi also got a few tears out of me. My general response to sadness in this particular series seems to be to cry like a little girl.
And I felt downright awful when Shanks lost his arm, but I don't think I cried. It's been so long, though, I can't be sure anymore.
Initially, I cried at Chopper and Bellemere's stuff. Kuina's death didn't hit me as hard at first, but later, after watching it for the 3436587896 time while making my Navigator and the Swordsman amv, I broke down over that as well. I am a sap too x_x
How can you NOT cry during the Arlong Park Arc.. I mean.. Damn.. I cried even more the second time I watched it.. I have become more sensitive. Heh.
the arlong arc doesnt even make me even a tad emtional,
it doesnt have what it takes to make me cry
You are so unsensitive, wolfie.
ah come on im not insensitive i cried my eyes out when hiluku made his death speech,
i cryed alot but these are the main times
zoro's flashback
nami's flashback

whan luffy decided to get rid of the going merry and when usopp and luffy fought

jeez, everyone's got such tragic pasts.. sniff
I almost cried when I saw Bellemere's death. I already knew about Zoro's past before I saw it, so my eyes were dry. But, I was just plain freaked out by Sanji's past. (Little famished Sanji-kun will never leave my mind now!).
I've cried a few times.. hmm.
First time was when Sanji left Baratie right when Zeff told him, "don't catch a cold".
Second time was with Bellemere.
Teary with Usopp and Luffy, the music made it so sad
I've never cried in an anime except for OP, only in games  (coughffxcough)

Hmmm never cried but came close to it.
Don't bash me, but for some reason I am incapable of crying when watching OP. Sure, the characters' pasts were all very sad, but crying never occurred to me. I just felt, very shocked I guess?
i cried at Hiruluk's speech, and at Luffy vs. Usopp. i don't really cry all that much when i watch OP, though. I never really cry a hell of alot in general when there were emotional parts of movies and comics and whatnot.
Yeah, a few parts make me cry some.
The short version:

Because I'm A MAN.
I don't really cry when I read, I get sniffles that's about it. While the Anime on the other hand, I've broken down a couple times.
Normal crying was with Nami's Flashback, Chopper's Flashback, when Apis wouldn't die or go away.
Total out balling my eyes out when they were saying bye to Vivi, also when Pell sacrificed himself.
I think I got a couple sniffles when the giant thought he killed the other one. I don't remember which one is Dorry and which one was Broggy.

I resent that! I didn't cry watching the Arlong arc and i'm a girl!
In the manga the moment we just saw in the anime episode 236 made me fell a little tear, it was just too sad, and in the anime it was hilruks Death/speech who was the most touching moment, and all with the beutiful tones of "Ave Maria";_;
Most of these are just parts that made me tear up, it's not often I really sob about something.
From Sadness:
Bellmere's death.
When Chopper was waving the flag frantically outside Kureha's place.
Norland flashback.
Luffy vs. Usopp
Franky flashback.
From Overwhelming Awesomeness/Love for Oda's Creativity:
Shanks losing his arm.
Finding out Zeff ate his own leg.
Hiruluk's Death speech.
Saying goodbye to Vivi.
The ship falling out of the sky. (You know that two page spread with the quote in the manga, too beautiful, I love that quote to death.)
Luffy clocking Bellamy.
Ringing the Bell.
Klabautermann (I grew up with that myth.)
Franky taking on the Train.
Basicly, my soul cries everytime I read One Piece because it's so touching.
I have cried many times when reading One Piece, especially in all the flashbacks. Choppers, Norlands and Frankys is the best if you ask me. So damn sad ones.
I'm one of those sappy people, I cry for all kinds of stuff.
Zoro's past
Sanji's flashback
Sanji leaving Baratie
Bellemere getting shot, other parts of the flashback too probably
Nami stabbing her arm and Luffy his hat on her
A lot of stuff in Chopper's flashback
The Sakura tree
Pell exploding
Vivi screaming to get people to stop fighting
The end of the fight in episode 126
Vivi saying goodbye to the crew
After I finished reading chapter 333
The end of Franky's flashback.
Watching episode 236.
Some scenes left me with my throat acking but didn't deserve a tear, like the end of episode 236 or Hiluluk shooting at Chopper in episode 85…
I'm curious what you mean by "didn't deserve a tear".
Belive it or not, but I felt a bit tearful during Sanji's departure in the dub. I just got the watery eyes when Zeff said "Your not an assistant anymore. Your the real thing." And then they play the only piece of music I like in the dub. Anyways for the original the saddest part is Bellemere's death. I also cried there.

That these particular scenes weren't sad enough for me to cry, unlike all the other scenes I mentionned.
I never cry in real life events such as funerals, when wounded, or having a broken heart, but cry like a kid when watching some sad anime or movie scenes. I remember crying in front of nearly every episode of Fruits Basket. Strange to feel compassion for fictionnal characters and not for real life persons, isn't it? I guess I need some sad music in the background to shed a tear. Like that Sad and Sorrow music from Naruto. You could put that on a funny scene, I'd still cry.
In the anime, Bellemere's death, most of episode 86, the end of episode 90, and the end of episode 236.
In the manga: Bellemere's death, before and after Luffy VS Usopp.
I did not cry so far yet
No. I get severe feelings of nostalgia for the old chapters and great happiness during the climaxes of the series…..but I like dark stories more anyway so crying usually doesn't come for me.
I will say this though....after I found out pell was alive I cried out with anger at Oda.

Why? Is it because it ruins the supposed "sacrifice" made by him?

Hm I never figured the emotional scenes in one piece would get anyone to cry.. sure I felt moved during some scenes (like "ringing the bell" in skypiea) but not more..
I don't think I've really cried from a scene but nearly. I think I was most moved by Choppers flash back. I'm not sure whether I would react differently to the anime (since I haven't watched it in animation). Maybe…
My heart is black and twisted, so I hardly ever cry. I did get a bit misty during Chopper's flashback however. Especially the bit where he's crying over his piece of bread.
My friend who is currently on the early episodes of OP said she cried during the Shushu episode (she's a dog lover)
I almost cried at Chopper's flashback and sakura scene.
And the dragon filler arc almost made me cry too when the dragon died. Then I was overwhelmed with happyness when Luffy sank Mr Fatass' ship. Of course I like it when all evil villains get beaten but this was just more than I had expected from a filler arc.
Yeah…I cried a LOT. But it's not a big surprise seeing as I'm a huge baby and I cry during pretty much everything.
I think I cried about...(Luffy's past, Li'l Zoro crying, Helmeppo stepping on Rika's ricecakes, Luffy punching Coby, Kaya smacking Usopp, Kaya confronting Kuro, Sanji's past, Sanji leaving the Baratie, Nami's entire past, Nami stabbing herself, Nami thanking Luffy while he's fighting Arlong, Nami imagining Bellemere pushing her out the door, Luffy about to be decapitated...that's JUST from the first 53 episodes, but I'm tired and I won't go any further...)
13 times during 53 episodes. Jeez.
Im not such an emotional person…so I would just cry if the story would be super touching and emotional!
But during the end of alabasta arc in the manga, when the straw hats showed their friendship sign, that really touched me, as in it strucked into me...(still no tears, not the emotional type).
