All these american actors? the only country that can make a manga/anime to a good movie is japan. look on DBZ. Kunie Tanaka - Kizaru
And Zkaizer thinks I'm racist.

Not really, even some japanese live action movies suck. Any country (with enough resources) is capable of doing a good anime live action movie…. it all depends on the budget and the skill of the crew making it.
The problem with anime movies is that its hard to create, specially character designs, fighting scenes and out of this world power attacks. And most writers and movie directors don't stick to the original plot, they create their own plot. Its not bad if you twist it a little but in some cases they change the whole story and even some important characters.
Kunie Tanaka....wasn't Borsalino based on him?
SAORI HARA as NICO ROBIN
Allow me to refer to some good Hollywood adaptions:
Hellboy had a completely original plot which was true to the style of the comic. Not only were all the characters in their full glory, but the sequal was even better by accurately portraying the author's vision of the underworld.
Spider-Man 1/2 are straight-foward re-tellings of the comic with tweeked plot devises and character design for the sake of modernization. X-Men has the same luxery, mostly in the second installment.
In Silent Hill, instead of inviting the main character on a journy of self-betterment via encounters with physical manifestations of inner demons, the movie version invites the main character to be a Trojan Horse of vengance against a child-burning cult church. Atleast it was really good BEFORE the climax, paticularly by borrowing numerous moments and elements from the games.
Lord of the Rings, the end-all of pleasant adaptions, faithfully translates all the important parts of the books into film without the overly-narrative bs and double-climax ending.

NO… I wont allow you... XD.... Lol JK
anyways.... What do you think of IRON MAN? :ermm:
That and the Hulk remake don't really count as adaptions, as Marvel is simply getting serious with their movies by having creative authority.
Although I would have mentioned Dark Knight Returns, there's just so much awsomeness to talk about I think I'll ponder on it to give a good enough paragraph.
Transformers? Does that count?
I specified GOOD adaptions.

Lol…. that was hilarious... Hmm I wonder if how this escapist fellow will fair off if he was making the movie... intriguing... XD
As for Dark Knight Returns, DC has always wanted to portray that paticular Joker but couldn't for cencorship reasons. That's why Heath Ledger got so much glory from his performance: he was the PERFECT villain; he's devious, unpredictable, and has a twisted sense of humor in place of ALL moral boundries. On top of that, the director's obsession of realism keeps the story away from retarded characters like Calender Man and the Quiz Master.
This is a good time to bring back the differences between Zkaizer and myself. He wants to make the pirate equivalent of Watchmen, but without adequet character developement. Fuck the important story, he just wants his goddam Skypia.
Regarding what Oda can't control, what we fans want most for the series is the popularity in the U.S. that it deserves. This is why I would rather make something like the Star Trek reboot, or Lord of the freaking RINGS. Those were all blockbuster hits despite how they DESERVE to be blockbuster hits. The most important reason for this is because they took out all BULLSHIT that anchored the stories down previously.Star Trek was no longer a 40-minute episode stretched an hour too long; it was now an exciting new beginning that respecting all the important characters and was fun for everyone. Lord of the Rings left out the "rooting in the Shire" that completely ruined the ending and the tedious dialogue that didn't fit into the heat of battle.
In United Treasure, Pell and Igaram (and maybe Chaka) would die and STAY DEAD. Luffy would wake up to Usopp screaming about the zombie appocolypse, thinking that Igaram has returned from the dead. But it's actually Taracotta, who took over her husband's role of finding the child in the alley.
I remind you to imagine Nicolas Cage in these rolls: His hair is so intense this time because he's hiding guns in the giant curls that make him look STUPID. And then, while he's cross-dressing as a princess, Linda Hamelton SNAPS HIS NECK. (Something tells me a lot of fans and the general public are going to like that.) Fortunately for him, he gets a second roll as the first character's allegedly inter-breeding wife. This is the kind of humiliation such a bad actor deserves.

Damn, you must want me bad. You just won't stop talking about me.
Anyway, to finish this whole thing off, I challenge you to a Think Off.
You post your ideas about a One Piece movie and I'll post mine. The readers of this thread will evaluate who's is better. Then you will find out how bad your opinions are.
Rene, it would be nice to inform me of the mistakes I've made so that I can correct them.
Zkaizer, the only thing I want out of you is the reasoning as to why you think my ideas are so bad. I keep asking for insight, but you shut me down because of bullshit like "everybody knows what you're talking about" and "I'm not worth the trouble". But really, if my ideas really are that bad for the project, then YOU are to blame for not correcting me. I treat you the way I do because I want to see you as a rival and yet you're imposing an image of self-righteous douchebaggery.
As for the Think Off, lets start from the beginning. I want the East Blue Saga to open with an ant crawling on the ground. Suddenly, a massive boom rips her antenna clean off! The camera changes focus to Luffy's smile stretching across his freshly-stitched face as he gets up and runs to the otherside of town. "United Treasure" appears on the screen, then fades with it to Yasopp bragging that he wasn't bluffing afterall.
The potential problem with this is that, it might not be in character for Yasopp to waste a bullet just to demonstrate to some kid that he really can do that. Your turn.

The post is not like you….your the the type that always see very minute mistakes...Im saying its weird...:ninja:
I can see what I did wrong with calender; everything else in that paragraph, not so much.
I really don't like how "adequet" looks; I knew all along that's not how it's spelled. Developement also appears fine. I hardly think dwelling over the spelling of swear words is logical; and Skypia is just fine the way it is.
I put an extra p and left a c out of apoccolypse? No, that looks even worse. I suppose you could blame my sleepiness for all of that.

OH. OH, I JUST GOT THAT BIGBIRD JOKE! I'm sorry for falsely accusing you.
I still want Kuma to be a massive Speilbergian robot, voiced by Steven Hawkings' voice program.
@Super-Franky:

What the hell?
I like Braff a lot actually, but this won't work.
Braff'd be a little bit too stuck up for that. He definitely got enough humour, but not Luffy's kind.
And Hugh Laurie as the big pops wouldn't work that well either, somehow. Young Laurie as Enel? BWAHAHAHA!!!
Or Hugh Laurie Doc Q?
Edit:// Just remembered who Josh Peck is. I like your idea.
True, I was thinking Shia LaBeouf at first, but he seems to have grown out of his Louis Stevens-esque roles.
bump .
bump .
Kiefer Sutherland should cosplay Smoker.
I got a couple of ideas.
Kim Kardashian as Boa Hancock
Pauley Perrette as Perona
In B4 Merge
16 Caps Lock On
EDIT: It won't let me make all the letters capital letters… Why?
I got a couple of ideas.

Pauley Perrette as Perona
Holy Crap. The resemblance is so similar it's a little scary.
I know, Kim really does looks like Hancock to me. Same thing can be said about Pauley, since she somewhat looks like Perona in a way.
I know Olivia Wilde is pretty, but the perfect Robin for me would be Penelope Cruz!

That actually looks quite good.
Anyone suggest Reese Witherspoon as Perona yet? :D
Legally Blonde 2 was on yesterday and when she had her hair pulled back into a tight ponytail I was like, "Hm… now what if you colored her hair pink and did curled pigtails instead?"
NCIS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Legally Blonde>Legally Blonde 2.
Actors fallow suit!
Just quit life.

What about the new made for TV one with the 2 blondes?
Actually it has been mentioned before:
@Kairouseki:
What about the new made for TV one with the 2 blondes?
Never heard of it, thankfully.
Besides, judging someone's ability to play a certain role on hair alone is retarded. Atleast Pauley Perrette has already shown the ability to get into a goth character.
I know Monica Belluci is awesome, but maybe Salma Hayek can be a good Boa Hancock too
WOODY HARRELSON as SQUARDO
I know Monica Belluci is awesome, but maybe Salma Hayek can be a good Boa Hancock too
Nah… Imo Monica is still the best candidate for Hancocks cosplayer.
Hmmm Selma could play Alvida
