I was going to make a thread for One Piece doujinshi, but I want to be sure that I won't break any board rules in the process. I was thinking along the lines of suggesting/sharing/discussing doujinshi/fan comics, where to buy them, but also posting links to ones that are online, or postings ones that people here have made themselves if they want to. One problem is some doujins have some very adult material in them. I know that no nudity can be posted here, but would people be able to discuss one like or tell someone where to buy it at all? Or would all comics of that nature be completely prohibited? If so, what exactly would be allowed and what is not? Of course, there are plenty of really good stuff that doesn't fit in that category, but I don't want people to start posting stuff and then have the thread shut down ^^; So I want to put some guidelines up. Any other input would be appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I noticed that someone suggested a comics/doujin section below, although I think they were asking for a section that would be more like members' fan comics.

I think it'd be alright, as long as people don't start linking or giving directions on where to find and or download the more lewder, X-rated stuff. The flirtatious, suggestive stuff should be ok in moderation. I think people need to keep in mind that there's a large group of members on this forum who are minors & should not be viewing any obscene & sexually explicit material, especially by way of this forum.

So yeh, it's a good idea but there has to be some definite & strict guidelines put in place beforehand.

Yes, that's why I'm asking.

So the guidelines should be(?):

No posting nude/sexually explicit images/comics and no direct linking to such things.

But where do you draw the line? I've seen some in which you know what's going on, but there isn't full frontal nudity. Is suggestive allowed? A lot of discussions in the OoC thread have definatley been more than a little suggestive.

Um, well I think members who will post & contribute to that thread should use their own judgement in regards to what sort of doujin(s)/ero-manga should be discussed & how best to go about discussing them, without offending others. Obviously foul langauge/inappropriate terms should be prohibited from the outset. But if the content is in a playful & somewhat innocent nature, without the nudity. Where the characters can be sexual/intimate without engaging in sexual acts or lewd scenarios, then it should be ok.

But I guess the line is a tricky one to draw, because people will always have differing opinions on what's morally acceptable & what's not. But obviously the mid to high level ecchi stuff should not be linked to or have scans or images posted in the thread. Also if some X-rated ero-manga/fan comics are to be discussed then they should be done so in a tasteful & respectful manner.

go ahead and make one. if members start posting stuff that breaks the rule, it won't be your fault. we (other mods, im lazy) can always take action against them.

and if things do get outta control, closing is always an option.

Yeah, a doujinshi thread is… Like essential. I think, how I am personally going to handle it, is to (when talking about dodgier ones) say if you want to read it, then contact me by either MSN, AOL or Yahoo and if you are mature enough, I'll give you the scans.

Otherwise, I'll only have refferences to them, no pictures or linkage. The ones that I will post up there'll be stuff like that 'Fish' one with Chopper which is mega cute... Or maybe the penGin one... Yeah. Nothing explicit at all, mostly fluff and gag.
