      @Rebecky_Mo:

I dunno, they did have their lovely private chat about the nine realms under the stars, and fell asleep on the lounge chairs next to each other. Classic romance scene right there….THEN the Destroyer came around and wrecked their wonderful breakfast in Nowheresville, NM.

      Hey i'm pro-classic 😛

(They DID call it the Destroyer a couple times, actually.)

Oh really? I must not have been paying enough attention

I gotta say, this movie wasn't as good as a lot of reviewer are saying it is.
Both the romance between Thor and Jane, and Thor's transformation into being a "good" guy felt forced and abrupt (the same with shirtless Thor). And then, when they finally started to develop Thor's character deeper. The movie already begun its climax.
The fight sequences wasn't all that good, I mean it had its moments, but ultimately kinda mediocre.

This is 6.5/10 for me. Captain America was a lot better than this.

The reviewer average on RT is 6.7/10 which sounds about right. TBQH most Marvel movies are overrated.

Thor was a fine movie. Captain America and Iron Men were quite better. And it had a stupid and forced love relationship and some of the action was quite anti-climactic but it had its merits. It had fantastic world building, a reasonably done outsider getting adapted to the world plot and some very interesting characterization and well done action scenes. It's not the best but it holds up well as one of the movies to build up the long-awaited Avengers movie and is of course is nowhere near as bad as Green Lantern and is actually good on its own merits.

I saw this movie yesterday, it was good, of course not the best comic book movie ever…is there going to be a sequel or something?

                    Yeah for sure.

Thor didn't exactly have the best story or the most interesting lead, but it had Anthony Hopkins and I really liked the wittingly theatrical family scenes.

Captain America I can just barely remember. It had some cool designs and ideas but it was just so horrendously shopworn and hokey I couldn't care less.

Heh, well Captain America is my favorite super hero movie (yes even more than Iron Man) albeit it had a pretty flat villain. I just really liked the characterization and clever action scenes and I liked the nice guy super hero for once rather than the dark, brooding heroes that have been all the rage recently.

But I think it goes to show the level of care and effort that went into these movies if no one can agree on which is better lol

Captain America's atmosphere alone puts it above Thor.

My one complaint with Captain America is the ending which was pretty terrible. They should have ended it with Captain going to the designated spot and waiting for a day in vain cementing the fact that his past life was never coming back. Or at least a dance with a 130 year old Peggy. Kinda stupid and contrived but better than "Uh, I had a date."

A 130 year old Peggy would be kind of ridiculous. Her niece will probably be in Cap 2 though.

Maybe he could have ran to 130 year old Peggy and tried dancing with her while she died, then saying seeing Nick Fury and say he will "Avenge" her. 😆

Absolutely. We can go tit for tat on my favorite is better than yours.

But just knowing that marvel films came to this from Dolph Lundgren's the punisher in twenty short years warms my geeky heart.

Thor desperately needed some action injected into the middle section, and the final conflict was hard to get excited over.

Whereas Captain America was pretty damn excellent, until the last arc which was utter garbage.

I'd say that makes them about equal, but If Cap hadn't dropped the ball so heavily in the end, it might've been my favourite marvel movie.

I don't see how anyone could not remember the war bond musical bit. That has to be one of the best sequences in any Marvel movie.

Heck, it may be one of the best scenes in any superhero movie.
