Hm, ''awakened'' Zoans… I guess this implies that if Chopper uses Monster Point too much, he'll become a permanent mindless beast.
Really? I took it as a, "Chopper can get a major upgrade". Essentially, Monster Point is a failed experiment with no control. Instead of controlling that aspect of transformation, he can "awaken" his Devil's Fruit and upgrade the power and dexterity of each rumble point. That's my take though. The Demon Guards are the way they are because of Sadi-chan, no? (Referring to mindless beasts).

Was kind of nice seeing Magellan own the hyped-up Blackbeard crew so easily, even if it's obvious that they're not down for the count. I hope this puts Blackbeard out of action for a while, because it would be a bit ridiculous if Doc Q just whips up a magic antidote that cures them in a few minutes whereas it would've taken Luffy days to recover, even with the power of the Hormone Hormone Fruit.
I said this to you in the Spoiler thread, but you must have overlooked it: The Hydra was explained to be 'a nerve toxin that paralyzes you, and sends deathly agony through your body until you actually DO die'. That's the only poisoning they have. If Blackbeard absorbs/sucks in all the poison liquid surrounding them, that might solve the problem. If there are still side effects he cannot suck out (of him or everyone), any Doctor should be able to analyze such a simple poison and cure it. In One Piece, if a crew like Blackbeard's doesn't have a doctor that can cure it on the spot I would be shocked.

A bit more determined compared to …? Jaya? Luffy was determined to reach sky island... Now he is determined to save Ace. How is that different?
The difference is that back then Luffy didn't fight back, showing that he was above them (his attackers), and intended to chase something people saw as a useless dream that will never be achieved. Now, Luffy is doing something that is clearly labeled impossible, and will fight with his life on the line just to accomplish the task. There is more passion, more ambition, and more determination in Luffy right now than (likely) ever before. I would honestly say that he has never fought harder for something in his life than he is now. This is clearly the most outrageous feat he has ever attempted to accomplish. Spirit is a synonymous word to the literal translation of Haki, so it fits and is a fairly accurate translation. He was just attempting to avoid the misconception that Blackbeard was talking about the ability/power/whatever "Haki" (Ambition).

I'm surprised by Jinbei being able to stop Luffy's gear second. He really is strong to be able to stop Luffy's attack with one hand. As expected from Fishman Karate Master.
While I do not doubt or contest Jinbei's strength, Luffy was moving in a straight line and was obviously about to attack. Franky, Sanji, Zoro…hell, even Nami has stopped Luffy in a similar situation. Jinbei wasn't struggling and Luffy wasn't fighting back, so it was just a matter of blocking his way and "catching" him. Again, not contesting his strength, just noting that it isn't as impressive as I am sure a million people will blow it out of proportion to be.
