Couple things I'd like to make a quick topic about.
Theory One - Morgan/Kuro connection.
Captain Axe-Hand Morgan. You know, big ol' guy, huge axe-hand, and a metal jaw with 'mowe' inscribed on it. What we're gonna talk about is his possible connection with Kuro.
What connection could he possibly have with the head of the Kuroneko Pirates? Well, take a look at this screenshot here:
And now take a look at Morgan, here:
Note how Kuro mentions having crushed the marine's Jaw, and then we see Morgan here with something to cover/make up his jaw.
Also note the resemblance between the Marine and Morgane from the nose-up. The facial expression and hair color/style seem very similar.
From my point of view, it looks as though Morgan got his status through "capturing" Capt. Kuro. However, if memory serves, Morgan was a Capt. for longer than 3 years (obviously, the amount of time Kuro went through with his plan). Now, what I have to say, is perhaps Morgan was the Captain of the particular ship (Or had a high status), and was landed to control an entire Marin base after the fake Kuro's capture, and then just let his ego get the best of him. Thoughts? Comments?
Theory Two - Crocodile's Hook; Handicap, or Weapon?
Now, here's one of those small things I came across. You know how Crocodile can control the power of sand, and reform any part of his body at will. So, why does he have that hook? Couldn't he have easily reformed his lost hand? My thoughts; Yes. Note how big that hook is, aside from the hook itself. The base is big enough to incase his entire hand inside of it. Look here:
Note how the cuff of his sleeve stops right were you'd think his wrist would be, thus leaving his hand out to stick inside the nicely-sized hook to hold and use as a weapon. Also, if he didn't have his hand in there, how could he do this?:
My assumption is that he more than likely has some form of switch on the inside with which he presses to shoot out his secret blade, if need be. How could you do that without your extra hand, eh?
This theory would also explain the screen here of Crocodile lighting his cigar, despite the fact it may be an error of the animators. (Credit to smashfanDS for finding this one!):
With that said, Thoughts? Comments?

EDIT: Oh, and I was told by a friend in IM that Kuro also broke the Marine's arm, so maybe that's a possible cause for an axe-hand? Just a quick note.
