I was wondering.. will they ever end up making there way back to Luffys hometown? They should and those bandits are back but they had eaten a devils fruit or something! Now that'd be an awsome arc. And Luffy is thinknig of staying a bit to his island to protect it but remembers that he has to find One-Piece so they had out into a different direction… but they're already in the grandline.. so I'm not sure...

but what if they do return and they Shanks crew comes back to have a drink and see's Luffys crew once again?

Yeah, I was kinda thiknig tht while writing this thread.. cuz there would be no point in leaving the grandline.. If they did come back.. what do u think it would be like??

How about, Luffy, the new pirate king and his crew of nakama make there final stop to Luffy's hometown, only to find that the Bandits have taken over. Luffy finds the new bandit leader - all of the bandits get there arses kicked in their weak state, and Luffy finally pays Makino his treasure tab. And so ends OP. Aw.

No no wait it shouldnt end there, the whole team is splited, Luffy is in his hometown, Zoro is lost, you know he has so bad local sense XD, Nami is out to complete her Map, Usopp is on his island and this time, he tells Kaya real pirate storys, Sanji goes to Baratie, Chopper shows Kureha the medicin who cures all diseases and Robin does her shit and so on… or just something like that, atleast the crew is splitted and they live peacfully until one day, when the Gouv found Luffy, they take the village as a hostage and uffy turn himself in, and then all the other Strawhatts rescue him just before the sword falled on Luffy neck, and then they flee to a secret island and became a legend.

Those are good scenerios. I just realized, when the last episode shows, it's going to be so emotional and I'm going to cry for a very long time :P

Everyone going to their separate paths and ending it with Luffy returning Shanks' hat to him? sniff Makes me sad just thinking about it.

I think they need to add in a character for such a scene– Luffy's overprotective mama.

That sounds good, except Luffy being saved at the last second. It's too "And they all lived happily ever after" for me. I think it would be good if they executed Luffy in Logue Town, and then he'd be happy wsith his death - and usher in a NEW age of piracy, having his crew be the guardians of his One Piece.

And Solid, I completely agree. Any other manga I buy is just to keep me satisfied until the next volume of OP comes out.

Well heres a wicked ending at Luffys hometown…
They fight the bandits once again.

And then Shanks crew confronts Luffy's crew

Shanks: Hmmm... U've really changed. I guess your no longer the little sailor boy I once saw you as.

Luffy: Yes, I'm now a king.

Shanks: I'm proud of you Luffy.

Luffy: Oh yeah, I forgot something. Luffy takes off his hat U told me something long ago. You told me to return your hat when I became king of the pirates.. so here.

Shanks: stares at his hat and has flashback of that moment

Luffy and the crew walks away

then something happens.. gosh sorry.. out of ideas :(

Reminds me of the scoring of the Shire from the last chapter of "The Lords of the Rings"

i don't think there are still bandits in that village, as far as ,until not,theres still no bandits ..devil fruit is a rare item ,not everywhere ,but the people who ate devil fruit ,it's something we don't really know where they get from .. i think it would have nothing happens while luffy went back to his hometown , but im not sure where he gonna meets shanks ,might be that village or anywhere else ..who knows?

At some point Luffy have to come back home, because he have to pay the debt he has to Makino. â€œIâ€˜ll pay her with the treasure I find!â€? I donâ€t think he has forgotten that.

And knowing how much that boy eats, Makino has probably been ruined financially. I'd imagine Luffy owes her quite a haul of treasure. Of course he'll have to pry it away from Nami first. That should make for an exciting battle in itself.

If Luffy dies, then I think OP will have no more meaning, so that in of itself is probably impossible. But Luffy going back to his hometown is a good possibility that I can see happen.

…God forbid that there be a OP "GT." That would kill off everything Oda's genius mind has created.

Maybe once he becomes pirate king he will come back home

But what if old enemies come after him.. like Kuro reappears there or something. who knows?

I kinda imagined Luffy continuing to sail the seas rather tha return home. Plus the mayor wasn't to happy about Luffy becoming a pirate and getting a bounty on his head so he may not be welcome back in the village.

As for the idea of the crew going their seperate way for a short period of time, I personaly like the sound of this idea. And an idea I once had is where Luffy meets Shanks and Shanks offers Luffy a position on his crew. Luffy then has to chose between staying with his fiends (which he ultimatly choses) or joining his life long hero.
