I checked and didn't see a thread on this. I was actually inspired by the thread about what race each character would be in our world to create this one.
If OP took place in our universe, what islands/countries/locations here would be the ones in OP?
My ideas are:
Water Seven = Venice, Italy
Alabasta = Saudi Arabia
Nami's island = Puerto Rico
Drum = Russia or Siberia
Warship Island (Apis Arc) = Azores Islands
Lougetown = Yorkshire, England
Skypiea = Central America
Whiskey Peak- Canada :lol:
Alabasta=Gobi Desert
Alabasta - Saraha Desert
Little Garden - South America
Drum Island - Russia
Whiskey Peak - Mexico
Water Seven - Italy
Skypiea - Near the bahamas
Water Seven- Venice, Italy. That one's pretty obvious. It's even built like Venice, on sinking parts of itself, and columns/older foundation.
Arabasta(Alabaster) - Egypt and surrounding area.
Drum - Alaska/Canada
Logue(Rogue) Town - Old West, America, maybe?
Skypiea - Upper Yard/God's Land(Jayans) - Central America, mostly due to its very Aztec theme.
Giant Island/Little Garden - Jurassic Park… if it were a real place o_O
Gaimon's Island = Island of Doctor Moreau... If it were real.
Just my take on some of the places. =)
Drum Island - Buffalo, New York in the Winter time.

Two minor corrections. Alabasta is definitely ancient Egypt and Siberia is in Russia. ;)
