In other words, if you were a Devil Fruit user, what DF would you want to have for the most practical use in your daily life, rather than combat use?

For daily life?
Sube Sube: Instantly and permanently in-shape, plus insane defense against injury from random accidents? Sign me up.
Mane Mane: Mostly useless as a combat fruit, but when it comes to "daily life" stuff it's more ripe for abuse than any other, hands down. Free meals in the most expensive restaurants - go into the bathroom, change faces, walk out without paying. Turn into people with access to bank vaults or jewelry stores, walk out with a fortune, never get caught. Set up a dozen fake identities with housing and supplies, because no one will EVER connect you with a dozen people that look nothing like you. It'd be awesome.
Yomi Yomi: As long as you don't die on a drifting ship in a miles-wide fog bank, you'd get back in time to wake up as a regular human being. Not that useful in daily life…until the day something kills you, and then won't you be glad you had it?
Horo Horo: Very flexible power, allows for spying, negative hollows to bring down most people in seconds (without actually harming them), and careful use of astral projection can make you damn near invincible. Plus the fact that your powers are all ghosts is convenient for clearing a room in seconds in a way that is less obviously your doing than if you were throwing fireballs around. Another one that's pretty good if you like the idea of collecting funds in less than legitimate ways.
Horu Horu: We haven't seen much of Iva's powerset yet, but it also seems flexible and has tons of potential. Being able to change someone's sex at will would singlehandedly make you the richest person on the planet if you went public. No more relying on repeated surgeries and hormone therapy - you can do the job in seconds!
EDIT: Forgot the zoans. The falcon fruit would be nice, because who doesn't want to fly?
And heck, I'd eat the human human fruit. Enlightenment must be nice. -

That's ridiculous. If Alvida can wear clothes and walk (which requires your feet not uncontrollably slipping all over the ground), she has enough traction/control/whatever to lie still in a bed and get some sleep. :blink: (She CAN skate on the ground, but I believe it requires a ramp to get going.)

Would you rather be dead? It's not like it's hard, just end your second life and move on if you don't like it. Besides, I don't think one bad possible outcome that isn't even very likely (how many people living normal lives outside a war zone end up in pieces without being in a freak car or construction accident?) is a good reason to discount a "get out of death free" card. Not even fandom's favorite badass Zoro can come back from the dead. It's not something I'd turn down.

I see notions of subtlety and secrecy are lost on you. :getlost: The ideal with most of these "utility" DF situations (except the hormone fruit scenario) is to not flaunt it and have the whole world know, or you lose half the benefit. If you run around telling all your friends you have ghost powers and stand on street corners yelling WOOO I HAVE GHOST POWERS while using them left and right…well, that's not very imaginative, is it?
Far better to, for instance, put on a scary disguise in a safe place and astral project yourself into a bank/museum/anything else you want all to yourself. Nobody knows what the heck is happening, they can't hurt you and have no idea your real body is somewhere else, the building is cleared and you're free to do as you wish. Or you can pose as a frightened bystander while mysterious ghosts panic everyone, and nobody will notice or remember you. (Like the cops are going to immediately respond to calls of a haunted bank...except oh wait, you told half the planet you have ghost powers and blew your identity for kicks, so the authorities know it's not real ghosts and they know who to look for. Sucks to be you! :wub: )
Not even your friends need to know you have ghost powers. Hey, it works in comic books.

when we see it in the animé/manga it doesn't look scary, but imagine seeing an army of corpses come towards you!! it would be terrifying.....
i would use the battle fields of ww2 as grounds to build an empire, not nice but the strength you would instantly gain would be worth it......

also the idea of using doppelman would be cool, being able to transport from A to B
and having the ace up your sleeve to be able to absorb the shadows, i personally though would have about 200 shadows in me, just to give me a boost with out running the risks of losing control or effecting my mental strength, on top of that i would only use certain shadows, so the 10 best scientists, doctors, fighters….. etc. etc. making myself a super being.....
i think this df has way more potential then people realise, for example not only can i resurrect the bodies of the wars, but even go so far as bring back the dinosaurs, using birds with mounted weapons, whales with torpedo's.....you name it, i would create a mutated army of death that would conquer all.... muwahaha...
Ok im not being serious..... i just think as a Paramecia this fruit has an edge over most of the others.........

You'd have to take over a prison probably and lock people up after you took their shadows.
As for the yomi, what if you just die at an old age? Sweet, I get to be old and dying again.
I think the obvious choice of the gomu gomu fruit would be awesome.

well.. I would steal shadows from other countries that i wanted to attack, that way the peoples with shadows taken will be targeted by their own people because whilst they are alive my army would continue…......so basically I wouldn't need to attack some countries as the result of stealing the shadows may cause a civil war between the two factions, people with shadows and people without, ultimately leading to victory.....
either they kill their own people or they let them live, either way i win
quite smart really, this is why i love this fruit so much, it has so many evil capabilities, and most of them are hard to defend against.
Also imagine the politics involved if presidents, prime ministers and kings had their shadows taken, their would be riots involving the ethical side to it, as well as instability from people resigning or being removed due to the compromising positions they hold. so yet again it can destabilise countries without having to use much resources, just leave them to their own devices and watch civilisations crumble.

I would think the term "flashlight" doesn't accurately describe how powerful Kizaru is. I'm taking Equivalent Exchange into consideration here. Each of the several trillions of cells in the human body are made of thousands of atoms atleast, which in turn are probably worth billions or more light particles. Spread that light just right and with a single finger, he could probably illuminate an entire island.

Doa Doa. It's my favourite fruit because of all it's uses. I can create a door from any room to the toilet, so I never miss a thing. A door from any room to the fridge so I can always get more beer. Running a bit late? Fuck going around houses, I'll go right through them!

Baku Baku Fruit hands down. You can literally eat anything you want and yet can make yourself slim again. Totally the most practical use for my everyday life.^^

My first choice'd be the Goro Goro no Mi. Fast transportation, fairly impossible to die or get seriously injured and I'd never run out of batteries or whatever I might be needing batteries or electricity for ;D Also, if I give up on my sense of originality after getting bored with it I could just kill massive amounts of people 'cus that would be oh-so bad-ass~
Though Choki Choki and Horu Horu would be quite awesome, too. "He can use his powers to cut huge slabs of stone as if they were paper. He can also use his powers to pick locks."

For my day to day life I'd love Robin's or Luffy's powers. The Hana Hana fruit because that would be totally handy and the Gomu Gomu fruit because I like the idea of being able to throw myself down flights of stairs without killing myself.

i know i may sound like one of those guys who wants everything the main character has, and boy do those people annoy me but i really do think that Gomu Gomu No Mi abilities would be awsome for everyday non combat use, they just look so much fun but after that it would probably be something like Robins Hana Hana No Mi or Pel's Falcon Zoan Fruit.
