        Sigh.

The easy solution to this is to upload your gosh darn music to an online server in Sealand or something, then access it AFTER YOU'VE LEFT THE PLANE.

        Alternatives:

        1. Get Linux. Chances are, this will foil a raid attempt because the police won't know how to deal with it.
        2. TrueCrypt. You can't hide that your disk has space, but they can't open your files. Unlike Britain, I don't think police can force you to give them your passwords.
        3. Send emails. But nobody reads those!

Lol, I loved the Obama popups saying "No more secrecy."

This is totally rediculous. Very soon people who voted for Obama just because he's not Bush are going to get punched in the face with the all powerful fist of the government. And I'm sure there are a lot of these people.

What did you just utter, ol' chap? The bobbies over 'ere at ol' Reginald Street most certainly cannot force one to reveal codes of such secrecy and importance. We British know that the UK is very nearly a police state, as the newspapers would say, but it is not as bad as China or the Taliban.

Also, one can just state that one has forgotten the password.:ninja:

                What-ho!

                  Uh yes they can.

If you have TrueCrypt files on your PC, that is plausible evidence enough in any British court to charge you on counts for child pornography. Even if one is just pirating music, not handing over passwords to the police leads to a charge of CP. If you hand over the passwords, suddenly you're being charged for the illegal music.

It's lose/lose either way, which is why Britain's laws for privacy rights suck and I don't understand why people are letting the government get away with such ridiculous investigations.
