I just started to watch Zatch Bell on TV and just bought 1-7 books of Zatch Bell. And it`s sooo funny. :lol: Anyone else like it?

I have no idea why the dubbing company decided to change the name to zatch bell, its just stupid

I havent watched much of it but it was enjoyable in the few episodes i saw

I like it, I havent seen it sub yet but I think so far the dub been good, I heard that the Jap voice for Zatch/Gash is the person who dose Chopper, is it true?

I've been watching the dub and I enjoy it. So far my favorites of the little demon kid bastards are Kanchome, and both of the plant ones (one was all leafy and the other was made as wood and made trees come to life. The latter was beaten by Brago).

I've heard that Gash bell was another name for a female's private part. I think that it's a good dub so far.

Man, this is a perfectly fine dub. I don't see how everyone gets bent out of shape for OMG JIMMI NEWTRON??????, the voice works perfectly fine in my opinion.

The general consensus tends to be that it's British slang. I have yet to hear of anyone British laying claim, though. So who knows.

same, but i just hope they dont do him for chopper's voice in the one piece dub. that would suck, not that i dont like jimmy netroun's va its just it wouldnt fit chopper

Well, based on what I have read in the NULL translations, I think that the edit is done quite well. The only edits I noticed were the boxer shorts put on Gash, and the lyrics to Folgores song were changed so they weren't about boobies. If anyone has seen the sub, maybe they can tell us how much was actually cut from the show.

Personally I think one of the reasons they changed the name to Zatch Bell instead was to make the "Zakere" plot point in the first episode work. If I recall Kiyomaru got zapped because he said "fuzakeruna!" (don't f*ck with me!) to Gash, and thus activated the "zakeru" spell. However in english that's a little harder, so the joke went "Zack 'er whoever you are!" to make it work. Thus, Zatch Bell.

What impressed me the most about this dub is that they left some blood in. It was like, "Finally, a dub that's not afraid to show a little blood." To be sure, there's not gallons of it, but at least they didn't erase it all together. The only thing about the dub that really gets to me is Suzie's voice. ANNOYING!

I sadly missed the episode introducing Folgore. Can anybody tell me what the lyrics for the "Chichi wo moge" song were changed to?

Folgore's awesome. I loved that episode.
