I can't remembered if I cried, but chances are that I did U_U
Feelings about Going Merry funeral T~T
-
-
I guess i am a bit ego, i just wanted to see the next ship asap, so i didn't really care about funeral xD
-
F's yeah I cried! I love that ship. The funeral was so emotional for me.
-
I didn't cry, but I was very much moved.
When Nami started crying, I felt a huge lump in my throat though.
-
It's just a ship and had a nice Viking Funeral.
People who cried are making Olympus Mons's out of molehills.
-
Most of the backstories were more tear-worthy.
-
Meh, I didn't really cry. I felt a bit sad but no tears…
-
i cried while reading the manga and even more during the anime T.T i swear i cried so much during the cp9 arc T~T
-
it was a sad szene but it was necassary and the funeral was rly worthy for going merry..
just had to cry by nami asking for help and also robins sad past and her scream for help :cwy: -
It caught me off guard. I ALMOST made it without crying, until Luffy scream Merry. It was just too heart breaking. I did tear up during back stories. Like Brook and Chopper! Brook's was one of the worst since all the episodes leading up to Bink's sake were flash backs! The whole crew was so determined! It hurt to know what they're fate would be.
-
I didn't cry..just like zoro lol.But when the episode was over i didn't do anything i just sat infront of the pc and just thinking what i have saw 0_0
-
I didn't.
But my little brother cried as someone just massacred the whole family. No kidding.
-
I cried… I mean the moments when Merry spoke, saying it wanted to take the crew out to see one last time, Merry coming to save the day, and then the funeral... sob
After gaining control over my emotions 7 years back I've only cried five times: My Grandfather's death, Rosette's fate in Chrno Crusade, being rejected by the love of my life, the end of 'The Girl who Lept Through Time', and Merry's funeral...
-
I started crying when Merry started to speak D'X
Everytime I watch it, I have to try not to cry. It's just one of those all time tear jerkers.
The anime makes everything a hell of a lot more emotional…
Like a recent death. I very almost darn cried at that. -
I cried like my own home had just been burned down… Dang... Too many beautiful memories on Going Merry. But the Thousand Sunny is super kickass!
-
i didnt cry , but it was very sad
-
Me and my friend who doesn't watch much one piece watch this in a lounge in the school yesterday and we both had ourselves a good cry before class.
-
I cried, but I think the saddest moment in One Piece is the end of the crew in Sabaody.
-
Sad moment but not crying, it was however executed very well, I mean, so much emotion about a non-living thing.
-
i thought it was very sad and emotional and very well done but u know i dont cry when i watch anime i mean like really but if u did then i respect u a lot
-
started crying when luffy did :(
god dammit! cant hold the tears back when luffy starts crying in a sad moment >< -
cant hold the tears back when luffy starts crying in a sad moment ><
That's … that's actually exactly what got me as well.
-
I cried! and not only for the funeral … the whole atmosphere was so moving and touching ... I was really moved by the merry situation and the fight between ussop and luffy for that reason and I really cried when robin said I WANT TO LIVE! TAKE ME OUT TO THE SEE WITH YOU! (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
-
It's the only time I can remember crying over a manga.
It was just so sad.
-
…Bawled like a baby.
But then, I cry during really emotional scenes and if things are too awesome. Like the crew confronting Robin at Enies Lobby or Ace's death. ^.^;
-
Personally I didn't but my sis who was watching it with me did.
-
It literally tore me apart. It took all of my will to not cry although I did tear up. :(
-
This poll needs an "Valant effort to not cry" option lol. I did get misty eyed. But that happens with their more emotional scenes. I started re-waching OP again cause my friends just realized that it is actually good. Nami leaving her house for the last time, Going Merry…Otohime...Other scenes here and there are just got to me. Although I felt more sad for the ship than Ace lol.
-
Actually I was closer to crying in the Otohime scene than with the GM.
-
of course i did, but i cried more when doctor Hililuk died. One Piece is the only manga that have ever made me cry and that is one of the reasons that i like it so much.
-
I was closer to laughing than crying.
-
I was closer to laughing than crying.
Err ok. Any reason you laughed?
Also, as for me, I did find it pretty sad. I didn't cry for it, but I understood what the crew was feeling.
-
Honestly, I don't remember. I think I got a little misty eyed, but not sure. It's been a while, and I was much younger back then. Merry's "but I was happy" comment was what really sold it for me, though, I remember that much.
For some reason, I was moved much more by the scene where Merry came back on her own to save everyone from Enies Lobby. I have no idea why.

Part of me feels like the entire series could have ended right there, with them getting away from Enies Lobby. -

I laughed because of the fact that a lot of you cried or felt sad when watching.
In other words I was prepared.
-
lol ShingamiKing watching one of the most emotional scenes in all of One Piece: "No way am I crying over this shit. Not like some other pussies. I win. lulz."
Dude, you sound crazy.

Hey man, I didn't feel nothin. Tough as nails, the balls below be hard as steel. I shit hard disk drives, cry blood.
-
I got sad for Going Merry's death but I didn't cry. However, I did cry at some flashbacks and Ace's death.
-
I cried. Like actually wiping my tears and stuff. There's a good number of scenes that make me tear up, even after viewing/reading them again. I'm a big ole softie underneath my sarcastic exterior. I love the tear jerkers this series manages to put out.
-
I choked up a little, but nope, no tears. It was still one of the most saddest moments in the series for me.
If Oda decides to kill off one of the Straw Hats (DON'T DO IT!), then you know I'm going to be crying my ass off. -
Cried both times I watched it, and I tear up, or cry again whenever I see an amv about or with the scene…it's some sad stuff. Lately I've been involuntarily emotional when watching heart warming or sad things so it would be a bad idea to watch the scene again right now...but I probably will.
;_; Better go get tissues
-
Okay, this may be a bit off-topic but, did you guys feels the same when Sakazuki burned down Moby Dick?

I didn't get any feels for anything Sakazuki burned down.
-
I didn't cry. Didn't really get why the characters were either. It was a boat. And yes it's true that inanimate objects can be humanized, that didn't really happen so I didn't see why it was such a big deal.

The boat was kinda, you know, talking to them. And giving them her last words and stuff. (I assume you're talking about the Going Merry and not some other boat lol)

Noooo~~~~~ T^T wahahhahahahaha~~~ It was so sad!!~~
