that's quite cool, and oddly funny….......
No monkeys were hurt in the making of this, no wait just 16 monkeys suffering multiple injuries to discovers something unworthy of such an experiment......
i wonder if this would work on humans, i think after time yes.... =(
(note to self, if you ever walk into a room with a ladder and bananas hanging on the ceiling........turn and run!)
Would make a good movie if you added 4 monkeys to the mix.

and star bruce willis…...........

you know that it will take even shorter on humans ;)
This is what makes me inhuman. My first instinct is to find the guy that sloshed me with water. I don't really give a damn about the other monkeys. I can deal with them after I get that bastard with the hose and scratch out his eyes.

The test also found certain monkeys were prone to lying about their actions and attitude on anonymous chat rooms.
I'm still waiting for that picture of an orangutan in a toga, Zeph.

what?

I'm not sure what your talking about but I'm getting this kind of bad sense memory of awful post made by you.
Bad PM actually; And you were the one who suggested it. As I recall, you went with toga after I told you I preferred to be drawn in the buff.
Your MS-Paint ramblings are always great fun. But this
prone to lying about their actions and attitude on anonymous chat rooms.
stinks of hypocrisy, since you're equally guilty of it. Are you the only, lonely online monkey junkie that gets to ramble about his imaginary feelings and thoughts to what may in fact be well-programmed 'bots?

So your saying I would be a hypocrite if I were some kind of existentialist fuckwad.
Sorry, I'm not.
you see acting like monkeys is normal:getlost:..thank you Meh and as always Deltron for acting like some of them..i-net disses are alyways so hard to handle:sad:
Nah, I'm just spraying ice cold water on you pulling your chain to see how you'll react. So far, everything is within your normal range of behavior.
I'm lazy when it comes to trolling. Why should I try to troll for angry responses from calm, happy people when I can just cast a line out for Zephos?
thats really scary. xD

Yeah uh huh, puppetmaster, strings in hand, all according to plan, horrible Gendou Akari impression, made in your image, allah akbar, now witness the power of this armed and fully operation battlestation.
As someone who has never posted on the internet I have truly fallen for this ruse of pretending it was a plan all along.
You're a boring nobody senior member, you wouldn't know trolling if it was attached to your eyelids.
Hint: Vaguely argueing with someone and then saying "SIKE i dont really care lol" is not trolling.

As a boring senior member, I thought trolling was inspired by the fishing technique of running bait behind a boat to try and catch something. Since all I wanted was to see you post something lulzworthy, I guess my fishing expedition was a limited success.
The experiment made sense until -
@JohnsJoke:
This includes the previous new monkey, who, grateful that he's not on the receiving end this time, participates in the beating because all the other monkeys are doing it. However, he has no idea why he's attacking the new monkey.
I don't believe that. Why would the monkey "jump on the bandwagon" so to say? The monkey seems just as likely to do nothing, it has a reason to not climb the ladder, but not to attack the newer monkey.
The fact that this behaviour persisted is even more questionable. So…I think this "experiment" was written just to comment on human behaviour regarding ideas taken out of context, not that it actually took place.
@_Meh_:
lulzworthy
It's sad that the only reason you would talk/participate here is for cheap laughs.
Those can be found in greater quantities in a plethora of other places.

What makes it really questionable is that nowhere in the "article" does it say what was being researched. Group behavior among primates? Methods of simian communication? Is it really entertaining to irritate others and watch how they react? The article never says. Hence, my belief that it isn't really an article at all.

Since the article appeared on a site called "Johns Joke of the Day", I was under the impression that it was intended for cheap laughs, more than serious intellectual debate.

Let me guess, you were one of the people behind the laughter factory that was this years april fools.

are you a masochist y/n
Either way, you got told by Terek, Terek. Him tell you. Told.
Walk the long way home.

Well, the implication is racism is just a byproduct of group psychology.
Racism emerged because whites would look at slaves and over time tell themselves slaves were not only resigned to mean work, but were incapable of anything beyond that. This created a prejudice that was inherited for a hundred years even when the original context of slavery was removed.
I think using monkeys rather than chimps was to hit this home, because monkeys are clearly a "lesser primate" while apes like Gorillas/Chimps/Orangutans are considered more human-like.
I'm just speculating, though. I think the story is a fake, not just because it was a joke site.
A 7/10 effort.
are you a masochist y/n
(c.) whipYES!whipYES!whipYES!
Either way, you got told by Terek, Terek. Him tell you. Told.
That's hardly unusual. Terek does his best to tell everyone. Sadly for him, most are inamicable to the message.
Walk the long way home.
So ya think you're a Romeo? Walkin' back from the picture show.

more the submissive to do so without thinking. not questioning yourself what is behind my action…why doing this..why beating up some1 you dont know for no reason. that
s for sure the worst illness of humanity..laziness of thinking for yourself

can be ,but doesnt matter…it isn
t rly a scientific experiment..just a good read and without a doubt some1 made this somewhere :)

Racism as we know it was born with the age of exploration, from if anything, culture clash.
Your western view of history is so distorted and retarded it makes these monkeys look smart.
This test was about group social behavior, not racism.
Not all masters were white, learn some world history.
This experiment is analogous to footballers/soldiers hazing a new player/recruit.
At some point we gave it a name and we institutionalized it and then we made a big deal out of it but racism is just something that has always existed and probably always will. Kinda like wife beating, slavery, war, raping, oppression of weak and abuse of other animals. You know, fun and useful stuff that used to be okey and natural but then silly hippies had to ruin everything.
Okey, I got little carried away with the joke. Sorry. Ignore . How did this had something to do with racism, again?
It's a… it's a funny little story (psychology was never my strong suit -- do we have anybody with a degree of psychology anyway?). But that's about it. Would it be a real thing then it would be 10 times more interesting. At least I couldn't find any more info about this study ever really taking place.
