This top scene had me laughing.
-
"With your help, we can go find that big croc now."
Reminds me of Luffy's alliance with Law in One Piece.
-
So we're done with gloomy no fun Beelzebub for good now?! YES.
-
so team rocket was there?
-
So Mammon can transform? Cool.
-
They should eat their crab dinner before its physical manifestation is released.
-
This was a cool chapter but seems like things are going to get a bit hot now, Oh welcome back Hilda
"Yo mama is so stupid, she thinks that Tacobell is Mexican phone company" I was like what!!!
-
I love how Misaki sees Akaboshi use Mammon and stays straight faced with "Not Bad".
-
"Yo mama is so stupid, she thinks that Tacobell is Mexican phone company" I was like what!!!
That cracked me up. It was soi very random. It made me wonder if that was actually a direct translation or just made up.
-
Random yo mama joke made me laughed harder than it should be.
And will Misaki finally join team Oga? -

That actually came to mind when I read it like why is a Japanese author making Tacobell's jokes, he must have done his homework
-
This post is deleted!
-
dat "yo mama" joke though.
that's why the title of the chapter is The Crab and The Joke. lol
-
Japanese kids do make your mama jokes.
And the original line was Yo mama's a sea hare (a type of aquatic slug)However, they graduate from it a lot earlier than American kids, which carries all the way into 20s. LOL
-
Red Hawk's attempt to localize the joke was terrible. Typically their translations seem pretty good, so I was totally thrown there.

Hmm, I am kinda against you on that one.
When I read it the first time I kinda figured it out that the original text was something else entirly, but also thought that using another joke is better than literally translating one that we won't understand.
-
I'm saying their choice at localization was terrible, not localization as a whole. Like if the original is some sea slug, Yo mama's so fat or Yo mama so ugly would make more sense, but even ignoring that aspect, of all the relatively creative yo mama jokes the Taco Bell one barely even makes sense.
-
Coulda been a Harry Potter yo mama joke. "Yo mama's so fat, the Sorting Hat put her in the House of Pancakes."
-
Beelzebub… Just when I think things are gonna slow down and get boring, I'm reminded that this is the kinda manga you can casually read and enjoy to the fullest.
-
Havent read the manga. Tried the anime though.
Burst out laughing xD Epic shit.
The ending ruined it though. The ending really ruined the entire show.
-
Im kinda curious how the anime ended since they clearly had to make up something.

Iessu aikan .
-
Hi-jinks ensuing in America? This could be fun…
-
well this came out of left field. Could be really funny
-
Burying punches and truck rides…In America.
-
Bandit Keith approves… In America.
-
I approve of this.
-
Freedom punches!
-
LOL "these things happen when you're allowed to carry firearms".
this was very much unanticipated, but their usual "adventure" in america seems fun -
oh god the gun control joke had me laughing and then the engrish made me die, haha.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
I just realized there is one thing that bothered me a bit... How the hell did random thugs recognize that they were Japanese. Calling them chinks would have been more appropriate, cuz 'murica.
-
They are weabos thugs of course.
-
LOL "these things happen when you're allowed to carry firearms".
this was very much unanticipated, but their usual "adventure" in america seems funCan't make enough fun of Gun Control. But them suddenly being in 'Murica certainly came out of nowhere, plot-wise… but I like the twist.
-
I thought the chapter was too unrealistic. Any redneck with a shotgun in the middle of what appears to be Arizona would never call them Japanese. Chinese? Sure. Mexican? Ok. Japanese? Too specific.

lol, I love how everyone is saying the problem with this chapter is that he overrates the IQ of rednecks…. and it's so true
-

They would if they were rednecks during world war 2 times! Back then it was all about the "japs".
-
@Miss:

But it's 2013… so... they wouldn't....
-
This chap feels like a few pages were left out, the way it jumped from one plot point to another but I dunno maybe Tamura is trying something different or just speed things up.
-

This isn't 1960 America.
-
This chapter was great even though I felt like there were one or two pages missing, one where Toujo supposed to get in or punch them all for destroying the wall that he just made (He should have done something) and also Hilda's comment about the view, calling Oga and shit that was totally a 180 on her character. By the way did I mentioned that We are in "Murica" (That came out of nowhere)
-
And their Japrish is still hilarious, and we get the complete list of the 7 Deadly Sins. Wonder if Oga's companion will end up with some of them
-
Good chapter… I find it a little weird though that Oga formed an alliance with Akahoshi and then two seconds later B-lined it to America with Furuichi...
-
No much going on in this chapter, some name jokes here and there, Oga becoming more of a father and a husband and something that you may call "Demo-trans" (That's how I'm gonna call it), what I didn't like was that Toujo hasn't jump inside the school yet even though they destroyed a wall and he was right above it
-
So he knows they're Japanese and he says 'eh'… yeah Japan made recknecks more ethnically aware and gave them the vernacular of most Canadians.
-
If you didnt catch it on the last page, Beelzebub is on break next week.

He's going to do some research on Murica, so I'm expecting a fat dude eating tons of burgers and french fries
-
hm, so do you think the seven deadly sins will have their respective sin as attribute, like mammon?
because we didnt see something like that with beelzebub oder lucifer..
