Anime recommendation.

This is an Anime Reccomendation Thread. You ask for a kind of Anime you want to watch and we reccomend it. Other questions can be accepted too.

I am trying to find a new anime to watch but I can't find one that I like that isn't rated "bad"(Like 1/5 or 2/5). I just want to find a good romantic anime.. Yes I am a guy and the ones that are suited for guys are usually rated really low and looked down upon.

Should it matter if the show is perverted or ranked bad? Is there an actual anime that is rated "good". I like ecchi and I know it is rated low but why is that?

And also what show would you reccomend.

If you don't mind Romantic Comedy, Tenchi Muyo is a good choice. The OAV is best, but Tenchi in Tokyo and Universe works, too.

If you're talking Romantic in the Adventure sense, Definitely go watch the Captain Harlock Series. Simply Amazing.

I need a Recommendation for manga. I've only read few and I want some good and great mangas, no average. Here's the ones I've read and liked: One Piece, JJBA, Read some of gantz and liked it alot but stopped reading once my computer crash, heard it turned out to be crap at the end though. Yup, that's it. OP, JJBA and some of Gantz. No anime just manga.

Read Toriko. It's gotten really good ratings in Shonen Jump, and has been ranked consistently third after One Piece and Naruto. It's about fighting and food. The details get kinda complex, but it's kind of battle manga.

The best manga I have read– no average ones here:

*Nausicaa (post-apocalyptic fantasy, finished-- greatest comic of all time IMO)
*Monster (thriller, finished)
*Fullmetal Alchemist (action, ongoing)
*Uzumaki (horror, finished)
*Death Note (supernatural thriller, finished)
*Tokyo Babylon, if you don't mind shonen-ai (supernatural, finished)
*Kenshin, Lone Wolf & Cub, Blade of the Immortal (samurai stuff)
*Hikaru no Go (finished)-- yeah, it's about Go, but it's really got fantastic art, story, and characterization.
*Berserk, if you don't mind tentacle rape, other assorted rape, ultraviolence, and horrible misogyny, is otherwise quite good. ...But will probably never be finished.
*Ranma 1/2 is tons of fun until the jokes start to get old, then you can abandon it. But great gags like Martial Arts Noodle Delivery Battle!, Martial Arts Rhythmic Gymnastics Battle!, etc... you get the picture.

...Naruto is pretty good until the timejump, then it stinks; Bleach is pretty good until Soul Society ends, then it stinks. But Oda is manga god for life.

Its a Pirate manga that started in 2006.
Its up to 3 volumes as of today with vol.3 coming out last month

Those are what I read, and One Piece is my favorite out of all of em. Check those out. But the amount of genres and storylines are pretty different from each other.

If mild fan-service are your top priority, you could try History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi. It doesn't really share much similarity with FT and Soul Eater but it does have epic/good action in it.

Series with mild fan service but might not be your cup of tea is Sekirei. It's harem genre so I'm not sure if you like that kind of stuff. It have more boobs though.

Other series that might worth your time is

• Get Backers (it's more of Shounen-ai though)
• Law of Ueki (pretty similar with FT but I don't think there's much fan service in it).
• Hunter x Hunter (no fan service, but definitely worth watching).
• I think either D Gray Man or Darker than Black have ecchi in it. Didn't quite remember because it's been a while since the last time I watch the show.

What you're describing is the archetype of a vanilla Shonen.

So yeah, I recommend any popular series you haven't read.

But Hunter x Hunter is lacking a big amount of fanservice. And the last arc had the tendency to be more fighting than adventuring.

Same goes for Shaman King and D-Grayman which started good and became just the next replacable DBZ Clone.

Psyren has the tendency to be adventurelike but in a postapocalyptic world and it didn't reached the point and hopefully will never where it's only the fighting that counts. But it's way more serious than fairy tale.

One Piece is the King when it comes to adventure and worldbuilding, but you wouldn't be on this site if you not already knew.

Not clearly what you are looking for but they have quiete a share of adventure and fanservice:

Claymore (Serious Shonen, dark worldbuilding, because most protagonist are women you get a share of fanservice)

Berserk (very dark seinen, very grim but insanly rich world, brilliant drawing, fanservice included but like i said much more depressing and grim than fairy tale)

Deadmans Wonderland (Dark seinen, but if you are into black humor,it could be your thing, lots of fansercie, crazy sadistic world)

The last three, like i said, are eventually not what you are looking for but have similarities. So maybe you will like them.

Edit: Tenjo Tenge (The King of Fanservice, and a good seinen fighting manga, but you will most likly miss the adventureparts)

There is a manga called Buster Keel which has the same feel to it as fairy tail and likeable enough characters, decent plot. It's not that heavy on the fanservice but it's not completely absent of it.

Yu Yu hakusho and Dragonball are both really good if you didn't already watch them.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn is also pretty good.

Would anyone recommend the Hellsing television series (not the OVAs)? Like is it worth watching? I loved the manga (and the OVAs so far) and I know the anime storyline diverts from the manga but I've heard good things about, sort of.
