Personally I'd love to see Oda do a Mech series, if anyone can do one well it's Oda. I'm so sick of Mech anime anymore, they get so bogged down in cliche's and pointless tragic melodrama (like they can't think of any other way to make something dramatic without killing off a character…..), Oda doing one would bring alot of humor and originality to the stagnet genre. Bring on Mech Piece! lol.

I'd love a mecha show by Oda, hell yeah.
There are plenty of crazy mecha shows with originality and humor though, I mean hey:
Godannar, Mazinkaiser, even Gurren Lagann, etc.

Gurren Lagann had the worst ending ever, any comedy in it was negated by that pointless tacted on tragedy ending. And there are a few mech anime with humor, but most of them are retro throw backs (like Godannar). Hell even Nadesico, which was supposed to be a parody fell victom to Mech cliche's. At least Oda wouldn't be bound by any stupid generic genre convensions. Anyway I hope he does do it, it would be very interesting to see what kind of story he has in mind…
