For the main song it was pretty enjoyable. On first go the inserted conversations where a bit annoying. On repettative listing I didn't mind them anymore. Not outstanding but a good riff and as far as I can tell solid raping. Outro was really annoying but lucky that just runis the amv not the main song :P

My magic list tells me I have not posted Van Halen yet. What a shame considering it one of the top ten bands in my playlist. This has to change!

Never heard anything quite like it. It's good. Psycodelic (?) parts are sub par but the rock stuff is really nice. Especially the refrain is very catchy. I think I'm gonna listen to some more of theirs.

I think this is probably the best song you have posted moon. I love the instrumental that this song started with. It really set an atmosphere for something truly epic that going to come. This is what metal is all about. Seriously what epic music this is. The lyrics are deep, Val Halen's voice is so unique, and the general atmosphere of the song is like no metal song I have heard before. It is almost kind of happy at times. I said it before though, the best of the song is the actual music, the drums, the guitar, the bass work so well together.

EDIT: May as well do it. That was interesting, very different from anything I've ever heard from Linkin Park before. I can't really decide if I like it or not, it had a hip-hop feel but with an almost African-sounding rhythm, but then the lead singer guy comes in and it completely changes. I guess it's pretty good at what it does, but I'm not sure if I like what it does.

Man, this is nostalgic. I used to listen to this album so much as a kid and only rediscovered it recently (maybe a year ago). I love how odd, simple and hypnotic it is. I love Fred Schneider's voice and lyrics. The sarcasm in it is so great, so fitting for the New Wave movement. The parody reminds me a lot of Frank Zappa's tongue in cheek material, which is a good thing. I need to re-rediscover this album sometime soon…

Used to listen to Linkin Park all the time when I was a kid. Not familiar with this one but it sure rings a bell. It seems like a lot of Linkin Park songs follow a similar design. Nonetheless this song has really good lyrics and the the effects they use on the singers voice really are effective to the atmosphere of the song. Still, the best parts are when Mike Shinoda sings. That guys voice really is made for this type song.

Not the first time I check his music out. While I listen to it I always like it but once the song stops I notice have forgotten about it as soon as it's over. Probably because they don't have the same amount of repetition found in most music. This is good and bad at the same time. Playing songs again and again they always privide the same fun because they are "new".

But part of my facination for music comes from suddenly remembering a tune somewhere, somewhen then humming it all the way home and finally being able to play it. That doesn't happen with Buckedhead for me. Also I still can't get over how many albums this guy hads made. :D

Another song I know and love, but the thread is sinking and I haven't heard it in a while, so here we go!

I love this type of Steely Dan song. It's complex layers forming a simple-sounding whole. That combination just makes the song very versatile. It stays in a relatively downbeat tone by switching around between different sounds in just the right combination. It turns up and down in many ways to center in on its own specific sound, especially in the bridge and chorus. It's a bit subtle, but definitely effective. It's not necessarily my favorite Steely Dan tune like it is for so many people, but it's definitely a great one.

@ eerie: I'm not terribly impressed. It all started alright but when the screaming set I knew this would not be my kind of song. It was impossible to understand anything from it. I looked up the lyrics and I couldn't recognize any of it in the song. He might as well have sung Jingle Bells. There where some nice bridges and gradual alterations to the riff which I dig though. The melodic second part was free from screaming but it also lacked substantial anything until around the 8 min mark when the guitar guy beefed up a little . And the guy sang far too quiet. Probably because the rehearsal was done screaming.

This was a good song. This is the type of music I listen to when I really want to start shaking. What a good freaking rhythm man. These people definitely got some talent with insane drumming, the trumpet that goes throughout the song never got old and constantly made you want to move, and keyboard in the background really sets a great mood. This song has so many different levels to it and yet it feels simple and really easy to get into.

I actually found that sort of relaxing. It's the kind of thing I could picture hearing in a smoky cafe on a rainy evening. There wasn't too much noise, but all the spaces were filled; I loved the call and response between the singer and the guitar and sax.

Beirut has a lot of great songs, this one being one of their best. It is one of those songs you can play when you want something close to lounge but with a little more substance. I have an USB drive where I put music I want to share with friends, so I just end up lending it to everyone and frequently get something nice back, I remember I had Beirut in there for almost half a year, everyone loved it.

I think it's a good pop-rock song, it sounds like Maroon 5 and Matchbox20 combined, it also gives a nice positive vibe.
I thought it was interesting some parts of the song were sung in Japanese and the band doesn't look Japanese.

This song feels very typical indie pop. It irks me a bit how similar songs of this type can be. I have to admit, though, the quieter violin sections sounded pretty nice. I think that the song is a bit too grandiose for its own good. The high production values don't really suit it, or at least don't do enough to merit their worth. All in all, though, the song is cohesive and their's nothing really wrong with it, it just doesn't stand out well at all.

Man, I haven't watched Doug in a while, so I completely forgot about this little earworm. In retrospect, I love the affection to the source material the writers had. I tried to track down who they got to write/play this song but nothing came up. Musically, it's nothing too fantastic in particular, but it impresses me enough that they did a British Invasion homage that actually has that catchy hard rocking sound down and it doesn't sound half bad, either.

Well, I tried to ignore the bad quality when judging the song:

I didn't really like the intro which had a lot to do with the singer's bad voice (I heard some potential when he hit the high notes though). The instrumental part was better and quite catchy. However, it was still pretty generic and not really that interesting. It would sound good as an opener.

Damn, this is harder than I expected, but here it goes.

It's not the kind of music I'd listen to if I could pick, but if someone forced me to listen to it I wouldn't mind it one bit. It certainly isn't bad.
The only parts I hate is the screaming, I like screaming in music 'cause it's so deliciously energetic, but not this kind of screaming, by that I mean the screaming with a raspy voice, it just doesn't have any melody. I don't mind how loud a song is, as long as it has a good melody (I realise how "gay", for lack of a better term, this makes me sound). Sorry if this review is bad, can't really think of much to say and it's hard to find the right words.

This is probably my favorite song, it's also a good example of the kind of screaming I love in music.

Good song. I have to say that I enjoy the recent Drowning Pool more than the old one. Not that many band get better once they step away from their original style.

Wagomu- I'm not sure. On its own, it seems pretty cool, especially the middle parts where it crescendos somewhat. The chords seem to hurt it at the beginning and end, though. It seems weak, not harmonious enough, and played out far too long with not a whole lot else. It's clear they have skill when playing to the max, but the softer parts need work building up really. It feels like it takes a while, lol.

Here's one of my favourite songs from Nox. I first discovered it on a fanvideo of Mia and Diego from Phoenix Wright, and fell in love with it. I love the 'folk' style of music and the singer's voice. The ending feels a little weird sometimes, still it's not really jarring, and overall it's a beautiful piece.

Anyways:

When I first started listening to this track, I thought I was in for some sort of black or death metal. Interestingly enough, it looks like two out of the three bands named Nox are death metal groups, haha. Pretty nice neo-folk tune. Rather soothing, with its own sort of energy and a certain beauty to it. The electronic flourishes and modern drum kit were an interesting addition, but they provided some nice subtle accents to the piece. The more techno-y ending didn't feel as out of place as I would think, either, though it probably should have moved back to folk for the last bar or two. That woman's voice, though, was great. It doesn't hurt that I'm a sucker for Uralic languages, either. Very nice stuff.

The skill of guitar and drum player is incredible. The way they were able to match up with the guys voice throughout the song so perfectly and all the difficult parts they played, you can tell that these guys are skilled. They must have been tired after playing this song though. There is almost no breaks and just a constant stream of hardcore music. The guy who is singing is good to but I feel like he had a very minimum role to play compared to the actual musicians. Very unique voice though.

But when the voice came ... EVERYTHING HAS CHANGED.
I was expecting something more melodic (Angra, Epica)
instead I had Dimmu Borgir, Children of Boredom and Slipknot (but here the voice matches the instrumental)

In the first chorus, when the melody changed the tone for the first time, this music made me change my opinion a 3rd time,showing something I did love,the "Dancing Factor" like ... Manowar, Metallica

That sudden calm and "prog rockish" beat on the middle..WHY ?

That was a pretty good. Like Spanish type of music mixed in with Japanese. Going by the singer and how well she matched her voice up with the song, it was really enjoyable. God knows what they are saying but I had fun listening to it. The video wasn't that bad either I guess but I doubt this would be something I would ever watch.
