They omitted it, not censored. There would have to animate the scene first for it to be considered censored/edited.

I dont even know why are you going into grammatically correctness but fine…
I suggest you check what cenzorship means, it may surprise you but ommiting something because of: political, military, educational or some other reason falls under that category...
Ommiting something is not the same as cenzoriship and the main difference is the cause of ommition

It's not about grammar. They are two very different words.
There never was a finger scene in the anime. So how could they censor something that never happened? If they did have the finger, and they later digitally painted over it or cut those few seconds out of the episode, then yes that would be considered edited/censored.
It was omitted. Get over it.
