The concept of "being quite the romantic", is something they sometimes use in One Piece.
So my question is, What does the concept of "being quite the romantic" mean? @~@

      Example:

      Dialouge:

Nami: "There's no one here who can pass on this legend. There's not even any treasure we can take back as proof."

Franky: "Hey! We freed this little guy! I mean, isn't his smile treasure enough?"

Robin: "Judging by your face, you seem to be quite the romantic."

Franky: "Hold on! Let's not go talkin' about other people's faces!"

Besides being a genre of literature/movies preferred by lovey-dovey girls, the traditional definition of "romance" is just adventure and chivalry. It carries with it the connotation of freedom, dreams, loving life, and living by one's own rules. One Piece as a series is basically the embodiment of a romance (volume 1 is called "Romance Dawn"), and we see the concept come up repeatedly throughout. Blackbeard and Cricket respect the ideals of romance (as opposed to Bellamy and Doflamingo, who believe that the age of dreams is dead). In your quote, Franky doesn't care that there's no conrete reward. Gratitude and the experience itself are enough to satisfy him.

Romantic is old century(often used in medieval literature) term used to describe a man's chivalry. It makes lots of sense in contect if you are familiar with it. Look it up.

            http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romance_(genre

As a literary genre of high culture, romance or chivalric romance refers to a style of heroic prose and verse narrative that was particularly current in aristocratic literature of Medieval and Early Modern Europe, that narrated fantastic stories about the marvellous adventures of a chivalrous, heroic knight, often of super-human ability, who goes on a quest.
