Hey, anybody else watch this show?
It's about this guy named Sam Oliver whose soul was sold to the devil by his parents. He becomes sort of a bounty hunter for him and has to catch lost souls. I don't wanna go any further because there's some major plot twists that would be spoiled.
It's on the CW on Tuesdays.
It starts out sorta slow, but as it goes on the plot's been thickening. The escaped souls also get a lot more creative and badass.
I was thinking of making a topic, but I didn't think other people watched this. I love this show, when the first season was airing and they said they canceled it I was pissed, but was happy to find out later that a second season was being done.
Sock is my favorite character on the show by far, I laughed way to much from the Les episode.
! So what do you think is up with the freezer he had to deliver to his parents house where he found his dad? Or was the freezer just delivered just for the sake of Sam meeting his dad again? And it's a bit creepy that if Sam is the devils son, he made out with his half sister.
Did it really get better? Because I have watched dozens of eps in season 1 and it seems really bland. The main cast excluding Sock is interesting, and the special effects and action sequences seem a bit outdated(fake looking).
! I'm pretty sure that the freezer was just a plot device for Sam to meet his dad again. When we saw the garage it looked like a home, so I think the freezer was just another appliance. Anyway… can't wait to find out why Sam's dad is still alive!
Also, how is Sock uninteresting? It got a lot better though in my opinion. There's been a ton more twists… also...

! -Demons get a better part in the story
-Someone escapes a deal with the devil and is free from the contract
-Sam meets the devil's other son
-Sam's dad dies and then comes back from the dead
-Also, in my opinion, the new souls have been a lot cooler (crazy Mongolian, disturbing old man who pukes out gold beetles, a heavyweight boxer - this was a good one even though he sounds generic, an entire fight club - this one was a bit bland though)
! I think Sam's dad is a demon. Who made a contract with the devil to raise Sam after his mom(human) gave birth to him(also in the contract). Sam's real dad of course is the Devil, and Sam's mom is his real mom. I can't wait for the episode where he finally tells Andi(or she finds out) That he's the son of the devil.
Sorry. I meant Sock was the only interesting main. The other two(or 3 if you count that girl) did not seem that in to their chracters.
I guess I can give it another go and see what is going on now. What day does it show?

I love this show, it is AWESOMEEEEEEEE.
Anyway, what I actually liked alot abour season 2 is the fight club, since it was so damn funny…of course there was other funny moments in S2

errr….isn't Ben's ex-girlfriend works for the DA or something cause they use her to get info all the time. What happened to her???

I love this show. I guess I'm not surprised that ppl love the smartass kevin Smith clone but personally I like Sam and the Bret Harrison in general. He's an awesome everyman!
Ben is kinda just there, but he's getting fleshed out a lot this season with the gf and all, which is good. I like Sok's Japanese sister-in-law and how they pretty much use her exclusively as fanservice!XDD
It's so wrong, and yet I can not complain!XD
i'm alittle cautious about the last plot twist, though.
! I was relieved when they got rid of Sam's family since they were unecessary for most of the show
I cant believe more people dont dig this show! It's awesome and a great blend of those comic book dramas that're all over tv and a (funny)sitcom.
Kinda reminds me of Ghost Rider, I'll give it a watch later on.

The whole baby ordeal was really interesting and I hope we get to see how the baby's being raised. Overall a bit of a slow episode, but it seems Andi is becoming suspicious about Sam.
It seems we may see some stuff about Sam becoming eeevil by the end of the season. As good as always. Hope ppl are watching this show–it hasnt disappointed me yet.

Nah, I doubt Sam will become evil. Maybe framed by the devil… but NOT evil. It would sorta ruin the premise of the story, y'know?
I could see him going to the dark side spidey 3 style and getting brought back by Andy or his friends.
I love this show! A lot of people don't even know it! I laugh til it hurts. The sarcasm and writing is amazing! Guessing which weapon he uses next is hilarious.
I thought tonights episode was pretty good. A bit if weirdness and darn right creepy to some extent, but great. Some more development of Sam's "evil" arising. But I just think people are grasping for him to be evil, just cause he's the son of the Devil.
Nina and Sam is probably gonna get worse….Nina is probably gonna die or leave before this season is over.
Yeah, they were stretching. This was the first episode where the plot was meh to me. It did a good job of creating that "creepy little town" feel, but when the old man was loading the shotgun, I kept wondering why the three of them ran away instead of just tackling the old man right in front of them??! They're stronger, and there's THREE of them! And the gun was EMPTY!!
The Sak and his sister, thing creeps me out because he could squish her. lol
Otherwise, great.
Good episode.
Few problems though.
1. We didn't really get to see the soul which pissed me off.
2. The old cop thing had a bunch of plotholes that were poorly explained
3. They're REALLY forcing the "Sam is Evil" thing. It's so sudden and it's poorly executed. He's not even being that evil.
4. The devil was barely in this episode at all.

The highlight of this episode was Nina. Yes, you all know what scene I'm talking about.
This was the SEX SALES ep indeed, but it was actually really good overall!
I'm a big fan or Reaper, very fun show. Especially Sock.
It's definitely too bad the creators of the show signed a deal with another network, and apparently the odds of a new Reaper season are very slim.
AHHHH, are you serious? This show is absolutely genius, and really funny too.
Come to think of it, why they heck CW never was taken seriously? Many of its shows is a million times better then some of them crap that all the other local channels have (esp that horrendous CBS). It's not like the CW is a cable channel or something. How many people watch Reaper every week?

Well, I heard it got canceled after the first season, but they ended up bringing it back for this one. So yeah, probably the end, which sucks.
Such an underrated show.
Reaper May Live To See A Third Season!
Good news and bad news:
The bad news is that Tyler Labine (Sock)'s new TV series, Sons of Tuscon, has been picked up as a series by FOX for this Fall. This could put his Reaper future in jeopardy.
The good news? Reaper might be getting a longer stay of existence, in syndication or cable!
They're both long shots, but one scenario has ABC Studios in talks with CW affiliates about continuing Reaper as a syndicated series for Sunday nights, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
According to the report, the network started preliminary talks with ABC Studios around the time they decided to give Sunday nights back to affiliates this Fall.
Another possible scenario for ABC Studios to explore is to see if Reaper could move to a cable network.
Right now, it is unknown if Tyler Labine's "second position" status on Tuscon would allow him to stay with a continued Reaper.
Stay tuned for more details as they become available. With another chance, perhaps Reaper would get the respect it deserves!

I love Reaper, great show. It would be too bad if Sock didn't return, he rules, but I'd watch the show for Ray Wise as the devil alone.

Too much of a cliffhanger though. There HAS to be another season.
Damn, I really hope this comes back. So many doors have been opened with this episode. Sock on toad was hilarious though, I thought he would notice the toad in his drink.

Great ending, because it did feel definitive, but also left open some very interesting avenues should they continue the show. That was heartbreaking when Sam couldn't win Beer Pong because of the Angel!D;
why would the guy upstairs want with Sam to continue working for the Devil???
I think its because Tony and Steve's plan might actually work and Sam is crucial in making that plan happen.
Well, we might never know. I hope this gets renewed for another season… doubt it though.
