I assume they will eventually have to fight Dr. Vegapunk, so how do you think it will play out? I'll bet he has a way to neutralize devil fruit powers, probably through seastone materials. You can also bet he's got some crazy technology under his sleeve, if he can create Pacifistas. I wonder if he has an understanding of Haki?

Being the the top scientist of the world, gives him a lot of advantages and a lot more tricks under his sleeves. Something like neutrilizing devil fruit power goes with out saying, but i wouldn't even try guessing what he is gonna do, simply because i am curious to see it with my own eyes instead ..

I'm thinking he might be apart of Franky's idependant quest. Not as a villain, but as a source of upgrades. However, between the 44 million on his head and Vegapunk's alignment with the World Government, this would be quite the tricky accoplishment.

It's true, eh? His bounty hasn't risen since Enies Lobby, and since then he's beaten another Shichibukai and punched a World Noble in the face. Who knows what his bounty would be right now, not to mention breaking into Impel Down.

I've always figured that Vegapunk came into the world FROM the future in order to save the Straw Hats when the time comes, using Bartholomew Kuma as the one to carry out his will. It's been said Vegapunk is a genius who could think of things otherwise not concieved for the next… was it 400 years? Figuring that the World Government is aware of the futuristic islands of the world, Vegapunk could have come from 400 years in the future using a time machine he built himself. This is why I picture that he will look like Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
Not only that, but I think that Vegapunk is creating time paradoxes all over the place in order to create the best possible choices for the Straw Hats. He knew that Kuma's pain bubble wouldn't kill Zoro. He knew that one of them was going to attract the attention of an admiral in Saobody. Also, there's a good chance that that "Tightest mouth in the world" guy is really only there to keep an eye on Vegapunk for the World Government and wouldn't know Vegapunk's true agenda.
Then again, this is all speculation. In short, I don't think he would want to battle the Straw Hats, at least in a serious manner. I think he'd do it because Luffy did something either already or will do something in the future that Vegapunk will be eternally greatful for, or he'll want Luffy's help with something. Either way, Vegapunk's too much of a mystery to talk about him now, methinks.

Well that's just too bad, because it's the only logical explanation for Kuma's actions on Shabony. Either he's working with Vegapunk the time-traveler, or he's an agent of (the true) God.
