i knwo that Luffy, zoro and sanji are best fighters on the straw hats but who is after them the 4th best i think it might be ol' chopper, what do all of you think

I personally don't believe in comparing "strength" between characters, as it somehow doesn't have much to do with One Piece's overall theme itself, and it just seems DBZish, which, to me, is bad.

I definitely think that Usopp's stronger than Nami. He took a 4 TON BAT TO THE FACE.

If we're talking strength, then yes, Chopper would be the 4th overall, because his devil fruit powers and rumbleball technique can boost his strength.

But fighting abilities is a different matter. Each character can handle themselves in situations where other characters can't. For example, I think Ussop or Nami would have an easier time taking on Wanze than Sanji is at the moment.

Wow, I didnt realize how dumb everyone was. (Except for Luffy) But I fail to see how adventuresome and fashion sense are relevant.

I'd actually put Luffy 4th. He seems to not yet realise that half the battle is knowing when one shouldn't fight.

I'd elevate Nami and Usopp to higher positions, both recognize this (Nami buckling to Arlong after her hometown's fall, and Usopp with anyone remotely a threat). I also bet she'd be a stone-cold warrior princess given the chance to really strut.

Zoro's decently skilled, but something tells me he'd be easily seduced into a no-win battle BECAUSE it's a no-win battle and he believes he can prove himself by winning.

I'd place it roughly:
1- Sanji (Not for any superiority, but more for a lack of massive drawbacks, and he doesn't lead by much)
2- Zoro (strong, but I feel he's vulnerable to stupid)
3- Nami and Usopp (tie) (both are probably smart enough to not make idiot NOBLE WARRIOR QUEST OF GOODNESS decisions, but neither is really that strong)
4. Luffy (Not strong, and head-strong is a recipie for disaster)

Solid

I would place it like this:

1. Luffy, Zoro & Robin
2. Sanji (& Paulie)
3. Chopper, Nami & Usopp

Chopper is strong by muscles, but I don't think he is so strong when it comes to combat, mosly becasue he dont have that speed and agility that Sanji has.

well luffy is ranked no.1 cause he could take down everyone else on the ship then its robin at second place since she could take down everyone except luffy,

then at third its zoro 4 th would be sanji then choppa at 5th followed by usopp at place no.6 and lastly nami at seventh place.

the second strawhat/third crew member introduced's whole mission in life is to compare strength and the general basis of the story thus far for all 200 sum episodes has been overcome your obstacles with brute strength, why people choose to watch One Piece through rose tinted goggles astounds me, like it or not two-third's (half at the very least) of One Piece is fighting, whether it be fighting for what's right (in a battle), fighting for a friend (in a battle), becoming the strongest swordsman (via battles) or even becoming Pirate King (through many battles) one of the first things established was that they have to fight their way to their dreams litterally, if one piece wasn't about comparing strength and becoming the strongest then it wouldn't have been based on pirates and could've been done with little kids walking the streets of tokyo doing good deeds like helping old ladies cross the street, paying eachothers phone bills, doing chores, tidying allotments and singing ging-gang-goolie-goolie-gum-drops beneath the stars, all before curfew mind you :blink:

and he was the one that made her weapon so he knows every single attack nami is capabel of doing and can think up ways to counter them just like he did with luffy and with the addition of the dials nami doesnt stand a chance.

and sanji,choppa,usopp, and nami all togheter couldnt even touch robin she would snap them in two before the could make a move if it came down to a life and death fight,

only luffy is able to beat her for sure given his rubber power and zoro with his speed might actualy stand a chance against her but the others are instantly screwed.

That's true, Luffy can take down Robin and Zoro can take her down with one attack if he's fast enough, but I'll say that those three are on the same level when it comes to combat.

Yes, Nami would've died if she took a 4 baseball raket in the head, but I don't think Nami would've come to a position like that, I think that Choppa, Usopp and Nami are also on the same level of combat strength.

The thing is though, theirs a vast difference between comparing strength and saying who would win in a fight between them all.

i.e.
Luffy's only real threat is Zoro
Zoro vs Sanji i beleive would actually come out as a draw on a good day (any other it's Zoro)
Robin vs Zoro we all saw what happened when she was joining
Sanji vs Robin it's alot different, can't remember why but Sanji's good with getting outta holds
Nami vs Usopp she's the most intelligent and so i think she'd win
Chopper vs Usopp would be chopper
Nami vs Chopper, the girl stands no chance

but interestingly enough

Chopper vs Robin would be a swift fight in Choppers favour, Ball point removes all vulnerabilities to her attacks including stuff like breaking necks and then you're left with, well not a whole lot except a pounding.

the thing is with Chopper and Usopp especially is that they hold themselves back with their lack of beleif, i far from like Nami and/or Usopp but i recogrnise their strength.

If Robin doesn't get the first blow on any of her enemies she's left wide open, Devils Fruit don't mean greatness, afterall Zoro could take out quite a few.

he couldnt get cloes enough to land a kick and you really dont get out of the holds she puts on you its not something you just slip out of.

and usopp isnt exactly a retard either hes very near nami in intellegence so that doesnt give her much of an advantage and usopp has all the other advantages in stamina and that he knows all her attacks there is no way she could suprise him and with his dials that could knock her out in one attack nami seriously doesnt stand a chance.

and the thing about robins power is that one attack is enough to kill basicly anyone who isnt a logia user there for she doesnt worry to much about defense.

lets say it like this ,If a far distance of fight ,Usopp would surely win
but if it's a near distance ,Nami would get abit chance .. But Usopp had many tricky stuff he haven't use

and about Robin case ,Did you guys watch the part Crocodile fight Robin? Crocodile disappeared quickly ,and Robin don't know where he goes ,What if ,Chopper,Zoro or Sanji is too fast, robin probably don't know where they goes ,and get attacked just like how crocodile did ..

Usopp doesnt about all of Namis attacks. It's quite unfair to compare Usopp and Nami now becasue we havnt seen the perfect climatact yet…

And if Zoro and Robin fights.... The first who attacks will win.

And Nami has a good chance against Chopper, since Chopper cant protect himself against Namis thunder attack.

ive never said that he has been there to watch it but the point is that he made it he knows what it can do that she can manipulate the weather its as simple as that she even had to read his instructions to learn how to use it proparly,

nami can use the clima tact better than usopp ever could cause of her superior weather skills but he still knows everything you can do with it and since he made it he most likely knows its weaknesses.

Anyways, you people are forgetting that Nami is weak as crap. Usopp could take the thunder hit and the Tornado Tempo and still be standing, but it probably wouldn't take more than a gundpowder ball to beat Nami.

May I say that I find this thread rather pointless? It seems people are arguing about thing that have never been tested and probably never will be. Stuff like "Usopp couldn't have beaten Miss Doublefinger". How would you know? You can't really hold the same measuring stick up to all the characters. Back in Baratie, Zeff talked about Luffy's "spear". I think all the crewmembers have a spear of their own that allows them to be victorious even though their enemies may appear to be so much stronger.

Anyways, you people are forgetting that Nami is weak as crap.

Oh yeah, my mistake. Weak as crap my ass. Sometimes I wonder if people ever pay attention to the story at all.

Saying any of the main characters is weak is not paying attention to the story

None of them are weak, they have beaten lots of people during they're travel

Of course some have less strenght but that doesn't make them weak, because they have other powers

Nami is a great navigator, a excelent thief and smart

Chopper knows how to heal hounds and can fight

Usopp is an excelent sharpshooter and lies

Sanji is a great cook and also fighter

Zoro is a great fighter and can carry heavy stuff

Nico Robin is intellegent, has more knowledge about the grandline and can fight too

And Luffy is a great fighter, a great eater, sometimes clever and a great partner

They all have they're special abilities, that why Luffy wanted them to the crew

and that they have other ability is totaly irrelevant since its a disscusion about stamina and strength and in that aspect nami is hella weak.
