I feel bad that I've gotten so much enjoyment out of One Piece but haven't given much back at all even though I've only been into it for about six/seven weeks. So far I've gotten One Piece 15-17 because I love the Drum Island arc. Although I'm not a big fan of the East Blue arc I'll probably eventually show my love for that too.

Easily have spent over $400 dollars on the P.O.P alone and another $500+ on random op merchandise. Not even including the mangas and stuff.
But yeah I hear you. I think its my outlet away from reality after a hard day. And im getting a tattoo on my left arm of the mugiwara skull. Its how crazy i am for it.
i have not buy any manga or anime dvd of One Piece but i already 15+ One Piece merchandise + 1 Wii game : UA starting from las year Dec 2008.
I don't like to read manga but for One Piece i will check it for the story. When they bring the anime on Blu Ray i will starting collecting them.

My collection is so huge now I`ve lost counting. Around 300 items including manga and clothes I belive.
I got all the POPs, all French version mangas, a lot of OP related books (art books, data books and so on), some cards, the last Super Best CD, some settei pre sheets, post cards, and I'm trying to get a hold on every mini-figures released by Bandai.
For the anime version, if a BluRay quality version comes out, I may get them.
I'm not interested in OP video games, they aren't that good or I don't have the console that hosts them.
Although I've been a long time OP fan, for a long time, I had only the mangas and some related books. But since last year, I've begun to go like crazy on POPs and other figures :p Having a good job is quite handy :D

I haven't been insane about it, or nothing, but i've gotten all of the thus-far translated compilation volumes, and i plan to keep up with it. Of course, this is taking into account Viz's punishing lack of urgency in translating it, so there's not really much to keep up with.
I also bought Grand Battle (Rush) for the PS2 when i saw it, but stayed away from the other games for distaste of the translation and editing. I'd probably also buy the color walks and data books if i knew where to get them.

Nothing =P. I have followed the series for 4 years but still haven't buyed anything.
I first thought of purchasing some manga volumes but I hate the translation in here. It just sounds… retarded and wrong in my native language.
I despise dubbed anime so I'll never buy the DVDs or anything which don't include original japanese audio.
Also... there's hardly any merchandice or anything in here where I live. I would always have to order them from Yahoo or somewhere and I just don't feel comfortable with that. It's just because of lack of experience so I guess I should some day try.

They already have that many volumes out in Germany? I'd kill for volume 49 in English!

Net necessarily because if you buy merchandise you don't necessarily support One Piece (meaning the story itself). I mean nowadays you can still purchase all sorts of Dragonball collectibles but that doesn't support the manga at all (obviously because it ended long ago). As support I'd consider something that actually contributes to make the author continue the story.
i dont spend money for merchandise…just shit which you will throw away some day..-->my opinion...still enjoy to see them from time to time but i wouldnt spend money for it

also the anime episodes arent worth to buy them...its enough to watch them via i-net\tv on differnet sites\programms..also the anime isn`t good for my taste.

the movies..whatever could be on your shelter or not...i have watched them via i-net and don`t need them at home and spending about 100$ for them
iam glad with the mangas\file books and spending 9yrs so far with them and reading every single vol about 7 times should be enough..

I don't buy merchandise because I think it is a waste of hardly earned money. I do support the series that I read though because when they are released in Dutch, I buy them. One Piece (there are at volume 6) and Berserk (at volume 5) started recently and death note is finished (12 volumes). I am now eagerly awaiting Full Metal Alchemist and they started to translate Rurouni Kenshin aswell.
Also, I think it is great to own these mangavolumes (yes, that was what I was talking about :D) because my kids could enjoy them when they are old enough and IMHO it is more fun then reading them online. . .
Yeah, vol. 50 aswell as OP Yellow are also announced to come out soon. However the translations suck ass for the most part.
That can be said of the English version as well.
They're not horrendous, but they're surely some of the weakest translations I know of in manga.
