(depends if u consider the weird fruit he was about to eat was a df)

Lol, I'd be all for it if his mask could eat a DF. Then he could really go superhero in Sogeking mode while still being good old Usopp without his mask.
Who knows, perhaps he'll get some kabuto beetle armor from Herkulesun that could eat a DF? Might sound stupid but hey if it should ever happen you've heard it here first.^^

It wouldn't be good for Usopp's character development, it would be like Oda taking a shortcut in the story.
-
Kabuto eating a devil fruit would be fine, but i dislike the idea of Usopp eating a devil fruit.

Not really, eating a DF doesn't mean istantaneous power, he could eat a paramecia that gives him the ability to grow eyes on the back of his head…..big whoop.

But the whole point of Usopp as a character would be lost if he had a devil fruit. You are too focused on power-ups to see this!
While everyone else gains strength through exceptional means, Usopp remains constantly human and that is what makes him so endearing.
You clearly have no grasp on how One Piece actually works. So shut up.

no no no no!!usoop is the weakest in nakama
he is brave we know that but not strong.a devil fruit can be good for him -

Which is why I think it would work if his mask or possible upcoming armor would have a DF ability. Usopp would still be the human weakling. If handled properly it wouldn't be different then having Usopp using Impac Dials which he does already. If it follows this outline it would definitely work. But for that anything else but Usopp himself needs to eat a fruit.
However I still hope for other improvements. Perhaps an bettle armor that allows him to fly. Or him developing the Mantra conected Ambition skill. It would come in handy for his sniping skills if he could predict the movement of his targets.
-
Usopp has had his faith in himself tested and has come through it better then he was before. Did he need a devil fruit to do this? No.
All he needed was to convince himself that he can do whatever he wants, to believe in himself. In order to do this he created a masked persona. (Similarities to Batman anyone?) It is clear that Oda never wants to give Usopp a devil fruit, or even the aid of one. He has created a character who is smart enough to work around the disadvantage of not having one. The dials being a prime example of that.
No, Usopp will never have, or indeed need a devil fruit or the use of one. Case closed.
-
I know that and I'm never doubted that. What I'm speaking for is upgrade in the gadgets he's carrying around which in fact also is part of Usopps character.
Also I think that there's more to Sogeking then just this personality trait. If we see that at Skypiea Usopp aquires Dials and at W7/EL he develops the Sogeking alter ego then I consider it more then a coincidence if you consider his gadget building personality trait. Following that route I could truly see Sogeking becoming a complete costume with all kind of gadgets.
However it would still be an alter ego. Usopp as Usopp has to remain on his sniping skills and on his bravery as the crews weakest member. Having both Usopp and Sogeking doesn't contradict each other. In fact it would even lead to interesting character development when he decides to not rely on his alter ego with all the gadgets the latter might have.

So you chose the troll approach and ignore literally everything (including the reasonable arguments) just because you're intolerant of other opinions? You're not the Bad-Beat I know. =/

no no no no!!usoop is the weakest in nakama
he is brave we know that but not strong.a devil fruit can be good for himOda stated that Usopp will ALWAYS be the weakest crew member, no matter what.
-
no man he went arlong first he is a brave man and become a strong warrior you see that folks
-
It would be awful if Usopp ate a Devil Fruit. Part of what makes him such an incredible character is how human he is and how he always resolves his fights and issues with his own human skills and how he, the weak human, copes with living in the world of super-humans and keeps up with it all.
Now if Kabuto ate a devil fruit, that's a whole other story;)

I ran out of opinions.

Hahaha, that is much more like you. Ok, case closed then.^^

people people. The thread clearly asks
"Can Sogeking eat a devil fruit?"
and the answer is:
yes, he can.
Well there's one for the books.
In B4 the Haki.
