hiya, i was looking through the list of forum skins and noticed we only have six:sad:
so i thought with all this artistic talent we have among our members why not make a new thread dedicated to peoples idea's/art of possible skins….
p.s. make them relevant to Eiichiro Oda's work, One Piece..
here's some idea's to help the cogs turn

-Shichibukai theme

the thriller bark skin was like a year and a half ago and the christmas skin was about a year
with the shichibukai colorspread, i think we could make one

well we could have had the shichibukai flags and perhaps silhouettes of the shichibukai themselves
The reason I got this idea was from a discussion and ideas I got from the main V-Bulletin website, they were talking about how to increase a sites popularity and how each member can contribute and help a forum become even more awesome than it currently is. so I thought with all the great artists out there we would have quite a competition among members to create a really cool skin, although the head moderators haven't approved of any changes I'm sure if it met their criteria and looked really good then perhaps they would consider it, i cant see why they would object, but even if it doesn't happen it would still be really cool to see other members idea's on how to improve the forum
Cant wait to see peoples ideas 
(I'm personally going to copy the main page and add a standard/themed wallpaper in the background, change the main Arlong Park title and spice up the afro Luffy buttons, its probably the best way to show my view of it)

I know the yellow is a bad choice
I just didn't want to go with white or blue, unless you have some patterned wallpaper I could incorporate
Also I wanted to do the Shabondy theme with bubbles everywhere but there's only one decent pic I could find of Shabondy and the colouring would take weeks:sad:, I thought perhaps I could do a screen-grab off the current animé episodes, so I'l wait a couple more weeks and see what crops up.
I had my eye on one of the recent shichibukai pics, so hopefully I will have it completed by next week.
I really want to do an impel down skin but i haven't got any good ideas on where to begin, i was thinking chains, and perhaps some silhouettes of the beasts, but that's all I've got so far, hence the wait.
This thread is probably the best thread I've seen on this forum in a while.
Now the hard part; recruit the local talent.
thousand sunny skin sounds cool, how far can you go with skins? i was thinking grass background and edge of the thousand sunny at the top, looking out to sea, then each comment box being kinda wooden like
i would like to see something with the whole crew..i mean now the WAAR! begins and we shouldnt forget the crew cause theyre not togeather for a longer time now…

i like the skin John (thank god you took out that yellow), but the repeating world government symbol is a little too much. Try to make it look a little more subtle.
I'd personally love to see an Impel down theme. Maybe a crimson masonry sort of look. Chain's would also be cool. Or bloody, tortured silhouettes of prisoners perhaps?

well i ditched any more attempts at the government theme for the moment, but i have a kuma skin if anyone's interested, its not perfect but better then the first tries i think

i think once i got a whole catalogue of skin idea's then im going to have a poll on peoples favourite skin..
once i get the results i will tweak/improve the chosen skin and put forward the idea to the people running the site, the thing is though i have no idea how to make a proper working skin so maybe a forum member or the designers of the other skins could give it a try.
im kind of hoping other members will get involved in the creation of some skins…...as there are some really talented members here that would produce some top-notch stuff. i wonder if we should have an easter theme? i picture vivi's pet kuru and lots of different coloured eggs dotted about
anyway my next skins going to be based on the Shabondy arc, so maybe some pics of the supernovas

yeah I know, I'm just making skin ideas atm to see what people like, once I've got hold of paintshop 8 then i can really make something decent. anyway I'm kind of looking for feedback to see what to go for, i want to do a Shabondy, impel down and shichibukai skin first, once i see what's everyone's favourite then i will go to work on a truly awesome skin, fingers crossed you wont be disappointed.
i was making a kuma fatigue bubble picture then photoshop crashed. i was pissed- you can expect one soon though it's didn't take long but right now i have some other work.

Anyway, since this was the place for ideas, it reminded me of something I thought of the other day.. since they're most likely gonna do something awesomely goofy to the thread on April Fools' (almost fell out of my chair last year when I saw it..and it's on the theme selection, no less), why not make an alternate like an Usopp themed one? Since April 1 is his birthday I thought that would be rather cool, like maybe a Sogeking theme, with the mask as forum icons – and the broken dingy mask for non-updated threads and such. Or maybe throw his Jolly Rodger or slingshot in there somewhere, that would be good too. Just a thought. ^-^

i'l get to work on the paw pads, i think this will look really good once its done
i think once im happy with it im going to re-do the whole skin and make it perfect, as these are still in the stages of trial and error

well i just used print screen button and removed all the rubbish to use the remaining parts as a template against the background i choose, i have no idea how to make a fully functional skin, but thought that if we made something really great then we could ask the administrators to get their people to make the real thing based off our final best voted skin idea, hopefully it will come to fruition
