This will probably be PS3 game of the year. It surpasses every FPS I've ever played, and I've played them all. From Halo, to Call of Duty, it combines every positive aspect of the more popular shooters and puts them into one.
The story itself is just amazing, and worth the purchase. It's short, probably clocks in at about 8 hours or less, but it's one of the better shooter stories I've played through. You feel like you're at war. You're just a grunt, not some war hero. And while there's no co-op, it always feels like you have someone looking out for you. It's just an amazing campaign mode.
And then for online, it surpasses just about every online shooter out there. The games can drag on sometimes, but they're incredibly fast paced and hectic. And the games rotate, so it's not always going to be just killing, or just king of the hill or just capture the flag. The types of matches rotate, so you can be doing anything in any game. There's also a sort of class system involved, which I haven't really got into yet, but it definitely adds more depth to the game itself.
If you have a PS3, pick this game up.
