One Piece Chapter 1
It was a normal day on the waters of the South Blue, calm and sunny. The time in this world was the age of the Pirates, where currently hundreds of thousands of pirate crews were stationed on these waters, heading towards the Grand Line.
Why? You ask. Well for one great treasure, hidden by the greatest pirate in history, Gol D. Roger. His treasure, the great One Piece. One of the new pirates going for this treasure you may have already heard of, Monkey D. Luffy of the Strawhat pirates.
This story occurs in this very time, the time of pirates restlessly searching for One Piece. However, this is not the story of Monkey D. Luffy, but the pirate who started off a few months after him, Urameshi Yusuke.
It was a calm day on the South Blue, seagulls flying, the slight breeze cascading upon the blue ocean. Suddenly, a large marine vessel sailed on the waters, it’s large sail holding the marine symbol, the blue seagull drawn widely on the sail.
This was the marine vessel to none but the marine captain, Hershes Augden. He stood on the bow of the boat, looking across the vast waters. He was a bald, tall and broad man, wearing semi-casual clothes, a black t-shirt and long black sweat pants. He was never one to wear the marine uniform, due to his hatred of his rank.
“Captain Augden!” A fellow marine crewmember of low to little rank said, with his common marine uniform on as he saluted. “We will be approaching our destination in a few minutes.” He said.
The marine captain did not respond, he simply groaned as he kept his view of the water. The lowly marine ignored the awkward silence, as he walked back and continued his work.
Meanwhile, within the inner parts of the large marine ship, lay a man within a steel prison cell. His complexion and physical attributes could not be seen, for little to no light could reach the prison cell. Then, a door opened, as a burst of light shown in the cell from the outside.
A small tray of food was placed within the cell, with only a piece of moldy bread and a cup of salt water on it. “Eat up.” A marine soldier said with a laugh. The man within the cell laughed as well, angering and confusing the marine soldier.
“Once we reach Itense Town, we will restock on supplies. Then it’s straight to our Marine Base on the East Blue for your lifetime sentence and eventual execution. Feel like laughing now?” The marine stated, yet the man in the cell continued to laugh.
The marine soldier became disgusted, leaving the room in an instant. The man in the cell simply watched, coughing several loud times for the handcuffs on his hands were too restraining as well as his hunger.
On the outer parts of the ship, the marine soldiers prepared the ship to stop at the next island, a place called Itense. The ship docked in the small harbor, making the other rather small ships look shoddy in comparison.
The marines marched off the ship into the village, where they were greeted with wide eyes and silent remarks. They ignored, as they continued towards their destination. The captain stayed on the ship, lying on the top of the crow’s nest on the very top of the ship.
He took a slow sigh as he sprung to his feet. “Seems as though you can’t be held in one spot for more than a day.” He said as he directed his attention to behind him on the top of the mast.
On the very top, was the man in the prison cell. He had long black hair, his clothes all tattered and covered in stained blood. He was of average height, and well-built as he stood on the mast, a marine sword in his hand.
“You should probably get your men to stop giving me glass cups.” The man spoke, as he hold his wrists up, blood covering and dripping from them. “Using the glass to cut your own wrists so you could slither out of the cuff and then burst out of the cell. Should’ve kept my eye on you.” The captain had said.
“I’m leaving. If you try and follow me I’ll kill you.” The man threatened. “Now now, Izumi. We both know how this will end. You’ll take out a few of my soldiers, and then I’ll take you in myself.” The captain remarked with a smile.
“I figured.” Izumi said. “So I decided to do my part a little early.” He said, pointing downwards as the captain saw several of his men on the ship unconscious and severely injured. Augden sighed, as he said “Not one to waste time are you?”
The two squared off, ready to fight.
Back in the depths of Itense, several marines had already bought out all of the food and supplies from the village for their long trip to the East Blue. Few members of the town were open to the marines entering the town, and several were too afraid to leave their homes.
A couple soldiers entered a local bar, and the bartender was more than enthusiastic to say the least. “Um…C..Can I help you gentleman?” He asked kindly, he was a chubby man, with a large gut and a long beard and a happy-go-lucky smile.
“Yah, I think you can.” One of the soldiers said as he placed a large bag on the counter. “I’ll take all the liquor you got.” He said as the soldiers behind him cheered with excitement. “Uh..yes…ri..right away.” The bartender said as he went out back to his supply shop.
“You think the captain’ll like that we are spending all this money on beer?” The soldier asked. “Who do you think you’re kidding? I just gave him 200 beli with several rocks in the bag.” The marine said. “Who do you think will question us?” He asked as he and the other soldiers laughed obnoxiously.
Suddenly, a large figure barged into the bar, a small carry bag with a ragged yellow shirt on and long blue pants. His shoes were all tattered and destroyed and his face and body were covered in scratches and bruises.
He was of average height, five foot eight inches and he had raggy black hair.

He sat next to the three marine soldiers, ignoring them as he awaited help. The bartender walked to the men, with several boxes most likely filled with drinks. “There you go.” He said. The bartender picked up the bag the marines had left, as the soldiers walked out with the boxes as they laughed to each other.
The bartender was shocked when he held the bag backwards, hoping to see all the money pouring blissfully on the counter. However, only a few bills and several heavy rocks smashed the counter top. “Those…Those no good dirty!! They took all my liquor!” The bartender yelled, knowing he could not do anything about it.
The man sitting across from the bartender got up, walking out of the bar. He followed the marines as the three set the boxes down, sitting on them as they tasted a sample of their stolen drinks. “Nothin like drinking a 300,000 beli liquor for a merely 200.” One of the marines said as he held his drink up.
“Hey.” The man said as he approached the marines. One of the marines turned to the wanderer, as suddenly a fist smashed into his jaw, sending him flying into the ground. The other two marines stood up abruptly, reaching into their sides for their weapons.
The man wasted no time, sending another punch into the stomach of another marine soldier, as he back kicked another one in the bridge of the nose, knocking them unconscious. The man reentered the bar moments later, the boxes of rum and liquor stacked on his hands.
He laid them in front of the bartender, smiling and laughing slightly. “There ya go.” He said. “Tha..ank you..” The bartender said nervously. The man walked out, when he was stopped by the bartender. “Please, I must ask. What is your name?” He asked.
“My name?” The man said. “It’s Urameshi Yusuke.”
