Hmm… it doesn't look bad at all, though Franky is rather... eccentric with how he dresses. To be Franky, you must be brave. You must be willing to walk out of your house in a speedo with your shirt completely unbuttoned. You must be prepared to don the Blue Stars! You must be able to face hecklers and tell them that you are cosplaying one of the coolest guys in anime! You must do all of this and be proud as a Franky cosplayer! Now, on three! One... Two... Three! SUUUUPAAAAAAA FRRAAAAAAAANNNKYYYYYYYYY!!

One last thing, are you prepared to dye your sideburns blue as well? I realize that you aren't doing this in your prep picture, but I'm hoping that you would do it for the convention.

I will be making a speedo out of a garbage bag and wear it over those shorts, as a real one would not be comfortable… or nice to see >.> And the stars will come as soon as I get blue body paint... or just regular paint.
And yes, I will dye my burns blue :)

but if your willing to walk anywhere dressed like that.. you may as well go all the way. Like Hakuro said, be brave. Franky doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks. Find your inner delinquent pervert and strut a speedo!
One last thing…don't forget the nose. Doesn't matter if you use paint, or something prosthetic, just make sure you have a "metal" nose. It's actually something small that a lot of people overlook.
Do you have any plans to do the chin? I tried to make something for myself, but since I lack the sculpting skillz, it didn't come out so hot…
Most costume shops smell a fake "tin man" nose that resembles the Franky nose. Like Ichnob said don't be lazy and over look the nose.
