I've just been recently turned onto One Piece(my friend showed me the first 2 Funimation box sets.) I became pretty much an instant fan and bought the 3rd volume for myself. I don't care if I'm spoiled on anything that happens later and I'm looking forward to chatting with other One Piece fans.

Everyone knows the Japanese voices are better. The original is always best! And you don't really need a high-speed internet connection. It might take a while, but it will finish downloading! So for the love of god, please try the original anime! I'm off.
