It's because K-F uses the DVDs Skull kid.
I have to say, even though I have my preferences VASTLY against Nakama (Really, almost everything else I can live with… Nakama is the biggest load of Bull...) but besides that, K-F are the Highest Quality Subs around, not just in Translation but in Video for the Pre-HD Episodes.

Compression settings that are easier to decode but have to be compensated for by a raised filesize to keep quality.
