Around Youtube people keep posting saying that the straw hat separation adventures will be in the anime as a filler. Where is this imformation coming from, is it true ? Anyone else heard of this ?

we have no Confirmation on anything, it's a theory a lot of people have since it's a very logical choice.
I do sincerely hope Oda's told the Anime Staff about what the Strawhats are doing so good filler can be made about them, because at the rate we're going now, the anime will either continue to drag horridly or will catch up to the Manga very soon.

The manga is still 10 months ahead of anime content. But that is a fault of the current pacing, which I'm not too displeased with that the moment.

It seems like much less to me. But I forget that it was only last summer when Duval was revealed in the manga. I agree with you that I like the pacing of the series at the moment. We'll see how it goes when the episodes are supposed to have a more hectic pace.

That sorta thing tends to come up when a lot of people say "It'll probably happen" and then idiots think that means it's definitely happening and then the people that hear that guy believe them.
Oda may still give them all stories, we haven't seen where one of them has gone, yet. I'd imagine it's a good place to put a filler story if they make one there.
But as has been mentioned, the current pacing is 1-1.5 chapters an episode, so there isn't a huge need for filler. -

i very much doubt that they will do have a filler regarding the straw hats seperation because i think its relavent to the story.. the thing about about oda is he keeps us guessing… he could reunite the straw hats at impel down or he could or maybe after... and their isn't much need for a filler because the manga is pretty far from the anime
one theory i'm gonna put on the table is i believe that kuma is working with dragon and he sent each member of the straw hats to a place in the grandline line which will improve their skills.. which could be shown in the manga

Sure they know. They knew even about the Duval incident, for instance (old story around this forum). Oda seems to be in pretty close terms with the anime staff.
Thing is, Oda doesnt have EVERYTHING planned in his head (i'm sure Chopper's 3 Rumble Balls thing falls in this category) and of course, they can't show in advance something that didn't happen in the manga yet.
As dawood said, i have the feeling the Straw Hats will have an impactful , upgraded return and we're not supposed to know, for now, much about what they're doing. So i'm not counting with these fillers. -

My opinion:
I'm half hoping for both. On one side fillers give new stories, and are sometimes cool. But then again they lead out of the storyline.

Don't forget that the arc that introduced Chopper was more of a filler than main , judging from enemies and stuff .. we can only wait and see.

i like the idea that their will be a filler for each one piece character separately. anyway, they are separated already. there individual adventures i would say in their respective places where kuma sent them. :)

It could be like that, and it doesn't seem to be a bad idea. But in addition in would be a vast amount of episodes, just think about it . . every character would need around 5-7 episodes for his mini adventure, so in total we have around 50-70 episodes. I would like such fillers but i would oda if OP became like Naruto .. so many episodes most of them with not sense and no particular order to the main story.

Zoro aside non of them seems to be in a situaion you can't resolve in 2-3 episodes to me. If they want to make fillers this will be the last thing to stop them.

Exactly, but the are not used on doing things , like naruto and bleach does.

I can't see Nami's filler lasting more than one or two episodes.
Zoro and Sanji might have two or three each.
I can see Usopp, Chopper, or Franky taking up as much as five episodes each.
Robin and Brook could be milked for a wopping ten or so each. -
Logically, sanji and zoro won't deal with that strong enemies, especially if we consider their strength level. On the other hand, brook, ussop, franky, chopper may need more episodes to justify their strategy or finding their way off the islands.

Why would Zoro deal with any enemies at all? Even if he were healthy enough, Perona implied that she was/they are all alone. And there's not a doubt in my mind she'll also feel obligated to escort him back to Shabony.

I can't really think of any other plot for them. In fact, I doubt Zoro will be sufficiently healed before they run out of food and need to start moving.

Toei isn't insane, if they actually did these fillers, i bet the most popular characters would take prefference, like in Water 7.
Heh, there's just no way they would spend 5 whole episodes with Franky, for instance. Even with Zoro or Sanji, it sounds illogical. -

Really, I think the way that each SH's location was referred to in the manga probably only deserves one or two episodes at best each, without wrapping them up. I think it's better to let them leave us hanging for a while while focusing on perhaps extending Amazon Lily, there's so much more they could do with it. Plus Amazon Lily and Impel Down are both such major locations that I doubt there's much need for filler to begin with.
Still, I wouldn't mind seeing an ep. or 2 of Sanji desperately trying to escape some lovely men… that's going to ROCK, lol.

i would like to retract the statement i made about the fillers… apparently they are gonna make the fillers... but it will give time for oda to finish the impel down arc

If I had to guess, and this is only a guess. It would make sense if Oda does a short version of all the crew members' stories for the manga, while the anime does longer versions of those same stories.

Wait a filler which means not canon??? which means whatever they showed doesn't necessarily apply to the manga???
I don't know why but I think the place where Robin landed sounds pretty important storywise, probably cause of that 700 years thing and that the people who refuse to join the WG gets sent there.

I think cannon stuff must be manga-only since anime can screw up lots of things, hope this rumor isn't true and let's wait for official info otherwise hope oda writes it…

Mhm, I think Oda-sensei works closely with the anime to not allow detrimental/contradictory filler arcs. I personally want to see those missing parts in the anime, because I feel with the arc that's going on the manga, while I can't wait to see that side of the story, I wouldn't want him to waste 10 weeks on that just to delay what's currently gonna happen. I think it would create a nice balance and interest to teh anime. Provided of course they don't come up with their own material and consult with Oda-sensei.

Oda-sensei is treating this arc very seriously (Impel Down = Srs Bizniz)
Movie 10 is based on it and i heard it was gonna be canon since Oda worked on it more than a year.
Usually the consult Oda about movies and fillers, hence the confusing "Wapol's Brother" in OP movie 9.
