Ch 532 "Prisoner Beast: Minotaurus" Discussion

When i was reading this chapter for the third time, there was somthing interisting that came to my mind. What creatures are these demon guards, luffy aksed if it is an ability user, Bon-chan stated its an cold blooded monster. But what exactly are they, Minotaurus and the Koala have the same eyes thats strange. They are not looking like mutants from Level 2 and they're staying on two legs like humans would do. And then i noticed the shorts of the minotaurus, they're looking like prisoner clothes even if its not the same pattern a little similarity stays.

I would think either the demon guards are the results of experiments done by Dr. Begabanku to explore the mechanism of DF-power transmisson. Or its the result of an DF that changes people into beasts.

Yes, Smoker was briefed on them beforehand. Alvida and Buggy were captured via seastone net.

I was re-reading the chapter and there was no mentioning of his fruit. Smoker used the seastone net to trap the entire Buggy crew and was in a hurry, plus Smoker had seen Buggy and Alvida using their powers.

Also, the rest of my original post still stands. ID just received 500 prisoners at once, so some mistakes probably happened. And, if not for Luffy being there, Buggy would've been recaptured within moments of escaping his cell.

It is generally said that the heat at level 4 will be problem for Mr 3 but I think the heat there should be a problem for the demon guards and magellan too.. When I look at page 13 of this chapter I can see some tunnel like structures between the buildings so I'm guessing that inside those walls it is not so hot.. I can't see any other logical way to fight in that high heat so I tried to come up with something like this ( though it may not be the case most probably :) ) but Oda can surprise us as always..

The duvall effect has done it again. Nice touch with the minotour. Here I thought he's a zoan type bull, but never guess a simple dairy cow. A cow with soru, how else does he move that fast.

The teamwork is working nicely. We should be seeing another Jackpot punch, but maybe only around 300 million. Just a thought…buggy replaces the muggy balls with his testicles. That's why the guards can't find it. Won't that be something...

you know this may very well happen. no way can i see luffy and his crew fight magellan at level 4. its to soon for that to happen. maybe like you said will happen and magellan will take a toilet break and during that time the fight with the guards will happen and then luffy and his crew will advance to level 5. the last fight will probably happen at level 5 and luffy will have to defeat magellan to advance to level 6 to save ace.

Ace is on Level 5, and the Chief Warden's Office is on Level 4. Level 6 is where all the rumored criminals too dangerous to be kept in history are kept.

3) they will beat magelan and so they could go through the main door,make some uproar for the WARRRR!!! in opening the gates for the prisoners(but that would be...ahhh thousand criminals releasing to the world...okay:) beat with their imense fighting force a way to a ship...and they sail to WB......or join the starting WAAARRRR!!!

the ID troops seems comical and this give me an impression the challenge is not greater than Enies lobby's CP9. i wonder how these ppl are striking fear in some of the most dangerous criminals of the world and can even contain them.

Looking forward to see how strong Magellan is. He may not be the main antagonist of this arc, u hear it here first.

But he also has heard of a rumored floor below Level 5 where the monsters hidden from history are kept. And if Ace is anywhere in ID it'll be in that "rumored" 6th floor. What I find funny is how people are believed the rumor of level 6 but has disregarded the whole point of why Buggy brought up L6 for. And that was to give us Ace's location. That's like someone saying the legendary One Piece is rumored to be in Raftel. The AP forums to say OMG Raftel exists. And then a few chapters later you'll have people saying OP is on the second to last island. If the rumor is true and considering Level 6 existance pretty much seems to be confirmed with the maps of ID. Then the whole rumor and it's point should be true. And that's ACE IS ON LEVEL 6 OR ONE OF THE FLOORS BELOW LEVEL 5 (If there's more than 6 floors). It's not really brain surgery but to some people it seems to be.

My head hurts. Here we go again. The rumor was brought up to give us a rumored location of where Ace is likely to be. If you're disregarding Ace's location then you have to disregard the rumored level 6 as well. Since they're essentially the same rumor. Now tell me again why Oda has never has given us Ace's exact floor location (Well he did if you believe Buggy's rumor) whenever he shows Ace's floor or never marked that "rumored" floor below Level 5. Common sense would be becomes Oda hasn't confirmed that floors actual existance yet.

If you have another theory then fine I would like to hear it. Also make sure it ties into why would Crocodile (whose bounty is 81m) be on level 5 as well when it's a bounty reserved for 100+m bounties or why would Ace and Jinbei also be on that same floor as those 100+m bounties. Now wouldn't common sense tell you that there should be a secret floor that holds prisoners feared more by the WG that would include 2 Shichibukai's and WB 2nd in command. A secret floor that bounty doesn't matter but your overall threat to the WG. A floor to keep people more dangerous than pirates with ~100+m. A place where even a 81 bounty would be overriden since he's a fricking Shichibukai. Wouldn't that floor be the perfect place to keep those kinda criminials.

Personally, I'm glad to see that what a couple weeks ago seemed like incompetance on the WG part, is just a matter of them being taken totally by surprise. Th sphinx gave the group trouble, the minitaur gave them trouble, the natural dangers of the floors are giving them trouble… they've only barely beaten the boss of level 3. Already the uprising on floor 2 they started has been quelled. Buggy's escape was in fact due to his ingenuity (and the guard just stated he was a DF user, they weren't asking if he was. Darn mistanslation...) the entire base is in lockdown, the've gotten full and correct intelligence on who they are fighting, Luffys 1-in-a-million trump card Hancock that even GOT him there in the first place is gone, there's a huge navy force waiting outside the prison even should they escape, and all the forces are assembled and ready to deal with the problem on level 4.

They're competant, set up and read to go. And it was pure luck, Hancock and old frienemies that got Luffy this far so quickly. If he hadn't met with buggy and had Captain John's treasure to gaod him, then the first floor room of spikes alone would have slowed him down/hurt him and he wouldn't have known where to go at all. Luffy would still be on floor 1 if not for Buggy!

But yes. Military competance, security, and measures are now seen a bit more in full, and it seems the legit tough times are ahead now. Awesome.

Ace has to be in level 5 because he's held up with a bunch of morons who can't control themselves in front of Hancock. Other than Jinbei/Croc/Ace on that floor. I didn't see anyone formidable. Keeping your composure in front of Hancock shows true strength.

I doubt they're dangerous/legendary/epic enough to keep down in level 6 if Hancock can just turn them into Stone. Seems like Ace/Croc/Jinbei are top dogs down in level 5.

As someone said before. I think we'll get see level 6 when Ace/Jinbei/Luffy/Buggy/Mr.2/Mr.3 are trying to escape, but have nowhere to run but down. I think someone they find in level 6 will help them escape.

My 2 cents on the matter.

There is a level 6. I could see you saying that if level 5 was on the bottom floor of the sea level. And the rumor was level 6 was underground and below the sea floor. But we can see there's another level below level 5 in the maps. And remember this is Shonen and OP. Hell even Ussops lies end up being true. Rumors always end up true. Plus rumors work as a way to foreshadow events. The fact that we can see a level 6 on the maps tell us that Buggy wasn't talking out of his ass. There is some truth to what he was saying. And since Buggy foreshadowed the level 6th floor we won't be surprised when we get to see floors below level 5.

Would be kinda lame to have a floor in a prison with hideous monsters erased from history that doesn't guard any prisoners. There should be something there and this also gives Luffy something big to fight when he reaches Ace's floor. It would be anticlimatic for Luffy to beat Magellan on level 4 and then walk straight down to Ace's level without no opposistion. If you have monsters that are erased from history (prisoners) then you should have secret guards there that can guard them if they get crazy or loose. Why have a floor full of high tier monsters that do jackshit below where your high tier prisoners floor is. You would think that floor would be above your high tier prisoners floor to guard them. That's ass backwards. Might as well put all your prisoners on the first floor and all of the guards on the bottom floor. If we're going to go with that ass backwards logic.

i personnally think that level six isnt for those that are very strong, just people that the government never want to see the day of light….....

examples could be some of rogers crew, ex-marine officers that pose a threat, and even people like that know about the void century, this may even include some D's, dragons nakama and so on…...... the reason = that maybe if they were on lower levels then they could spread their knowledge to others, im even going to go as far as saying that only the head warden is allowed on this level, to limit the chance of information being leaked. there may even be former yonkou, admirals, and all sort from the older generations

or there is the possibility that its an underwater entrance......

either way i would be soooooooo chuffed if we saw someone we thought dead there. it would add an unexpected twist ( i always did want to know more about saul )

From chapter 527, speaking of level 6's prisoners: "the kind of monsters who were so evil they've been erased from the face of history altogether".

What makes you think that Ace/Crocodile/Jimbei or any of the other guys we've seen on that level were so ruthless/dangerous?

About Croc being in level 5 instead than 4… why was Mr.2 in level 3 instead of 2? His bounty was 32 milions.

Easy answer is they're not talking about the big 3. Since they're not hidden from history. Buggy was speculationg if that's where Ace is going to be it'll be there. I don't even think that Buggy knows that Croc and Jimbei are there. Him knowing about Croc is possible but Jimbei is a new arrival. Why keep your valued prison (the prisoner your using against WB) on a higher floor. You would think you would put that person on the same floor in your maximum level floor with all your highly valued prisoners.

Well there should be someone or something powerful on level 6. Regardless if Ace is there or not. You really think they'll keep all those "monsters" unguarded? And hey it makes sense. Luffy can beat Magellan now on level 4 and still have something really powerful for him to face on the lower floors. I was thinking Momonga but he's gone so a secret guard on level 6 can work as well.

Anyways if your going to foreshadow Ace being on level 6. Why try to surprise us and have him be on another floor. That would be ruining the whole point of foreshadowing it in the first place. So what if it's obvious. That's not the twist. The "twist" could be what other people are being held there as well. Like who are these unknown "monsters".

The only reason i have to speculate that Ace is at level 6 is that Oda would probably want us to explore each level of ID with luffy before he leaves. On the other hand what if ace was overhyped? I mean he fought with WBs name. I can imagine that many people were scared of him until BB came and pwned him. I mean what if his threat is so that only level 5 suits him? What if his threat isn't so great that he would have been put at level 6?
