Cosplay Commissions

In light of recent unemployment (of my own choosing), I have decided that I am going to take up cosplay commissions to help me out until I can get on my feet.

SO!

IF there is something cosplay related that you would like me to make for you, send me a note and I will be able to get back with you with cost.

COST WILL INCLUDE:

Matertials
Labor ($7.50/Hour)
Shipping

Please note:

This is for articles of clothing ONLY.
I do not make accessories.
This does not include WIGS.

I require ample time to collect materials and work, as well as enough reference pictures for any given character.

I reserve the right to refuse any commission for any reason, including but not limited to:

Level of complication
Time constraint for the cosplayer
Lack of references needed

Actually, this might work out great for both of us. I was tempted to ask you, but I remember you saying you were worried about getting your own costume done for a convention.

I'm still determined to get a wig for hiruma from eyeshield 21. And I was also thinking, wouldn't it be cool if I could dress up as him one day at a kon. (but how would i transport the styled wig…unless, youshi made it for me and I picked it up down there)

I actually picked up a wig here, but am terrified to touch it myself. I'm terrible with hair.

I'm at work now, so I can't give you any pictures, but ask neko. she knows the charicter. it's spikey punk hair, to describe it one way.

how long do you estimate it would take you to style it. (i'm just trying to figure out a cost estimate)

May I suggest, yoush, that you post a few pics of what you can do. I know you do good wigs, but for other people, this way they can see what you can do.

I might pester you for other things down the road if i have money. :3

This is actually for clothing only. I'm not taking wig commissions at this time due to having far too many other wig related projects on my plate for my Skypiea group.

oh i'm sorry. I misread your post as you WERE doing wigs as well. no prob. I'll figure something out, do another costume, or just settle for chopper :3 gonna atempt that this weekend.

Just wondering, any idea how much a replication of Kuma's sweatshirt would be? Also, what materials do you think you would use?

You, my friend, are in luck, as I have cosplayed Kuma before!

I'm assuming you'd want it in black and white, correct?

Here's how mine came out. I used fleece, though you are more than welcome to have a say in what sort of material you would like used on your own.

To give you a proper quote, I'd need your size (or the size of the person it is for) and what type of material you prefer, if any.

ah, ok, charli, I think I'm just gonna send my stuff to you to sew. @_@ The material isn't regular material, so I'm scared to touch it. I also think, because it's special material, it should be done with a machine. The only person I know who can sew is away at school atm. If I'm gonna pay someone, it may as well be you. You also have experience making costumes, and won't give me funny looks when i tell you I want to be a reindeer.

I have 2 skirts ripped in half already. I was gonna use the nice halves to make the tank top, and use the more aquard halves to make the arm and leg bands. I also have a 3rd skirt I bought for, just in case. I also took an old shirt and cut it in half, and that's what I was gonna use for a patern to make the tank top.

Can I just send you the stuff in the mail and tell you my size, etc.

EDIT: i'm gonna make his bookbag. I think I can handle that. ^_^

Hi there! First off, your cosplays are quite amazing. In any case, while I have no money to pay for commissions with, I would like to ask for an estimated price for a cosplay of Satori, if you could. Like how much you think materials would cost, how much time you think it would take to make and price being a factor in that, etc.

Well, it doesn't need to be 100% accurate. I mean, if you could get him accurate, that would be great. However, seeing the near-impossibility of it all without stuffing the lining of the coat with at least twenty-thirty bags of cotton, let's just say that if it would be near-impossible to do, that he'll have found a duplicate Sube Sube no Mi and go with that.
