Which program can…?

Hey guys, I need some of your help. I'd like to know if there's a software with which you can edit the sound of video files in that way that you can comletely erase the background music but keep the speech and sound effects (or vice versa). And if there's such a thing, what program would that be?

Audacity can remove the voices but not the music. That's just for audio though.
I heard Sony Vegas can do it, but I've yet to do so myself.

You might want to try AVIDemux. I havn't used it much but it can do a lot and might be able to do what you want to do.
