So…apparently my youtube account was suspended or deleted three hours ago, because I uploaded this Dr.Slump FANDUB trailer years ago. Seriously...it's a FANMADE trailer of a dub made by fans, the only copyrighted material was the animation and I thought spoofs were okay...wtf?! It's been there for year, now I lose everything i faved or bookmarked because of that?? And they sent me an email warning me to take it down because TOEI animation was pissed at me or whatever...srsly?? It was the original 80s version of the show and it was literally just like 30 seconds worth of clips! It didnt even use the original Japanese voice actors!! What the hell is this??
So apparently, TOEI animation is mad at me….

Wow… that is the biggest bullcrap I've heard of yet. I expect people like sniperking to get their account suspended (sorry Sniper but you actually upload clips not that I'll snitch.) But you just uploaded a simple trailer to a fandub.

its okay Toei is full of shit

It's okay Youtube in general is full of shit.

Everyone should move those kinds of videos to a decent video hosting site that rarely gets touched by these people, like Megavideo or Dailymotion.
-
the players for megavideo and dailymotion…suck.
Veoh has a decent player but the contant flash adds can cause delays... -
That's scary shit. I shudder to think what Shueisha would do to my account.

@Ao:
the players for megavideo and dailymotion…suck.
Veoh has a decent player but the contant flash adds can cause delays...That's true, but let's look at it this way:
Would you rather have a subpar player for a video that has a slim-to-none chance to be taken down or a decent player for a video that has an exponentially higher chance to be taken down? I would go for the former.

This still pales in comparison to the time when I saw a video from FUNimation's own YouTube channel taken down due to a copyright claim by 4Kids Entertainment. About a year after 4Kids lost the license to One Piece and FUNimation got it. I don't think YouTuve actually investigates the claims, they just take down what they're asked to because they don't wanna bother actually investigating the case. So if Toei says that they want your entire channel removed (not just that video, the channel) for reasons that are not really legally valid, YouTube will just give in due to laziness.

Probably wasn't Toei, probably no-lifes who get a sexual pleasure out of getting people banned. All someone has to do is flag a video and claim they're a company. YouTube doesn't ask questions, they just cover their asses.

Wow, that sucks. Look on the bright side. At least you don't have to deal with YouTube faggotry anymore. Post the video somewhere else, just to rub it in their faces.
