um…where is lilo?
'cause its widely seen to be insulting. The anime basically ripped out everything Hawaiian and replaced it with Japanese.
That said, I am impressed by the voices. Well cast.
Part of it makes me gag, another other makes me laugh (intentionally), and the other makes me want to keep looking at it.
And why does stitch speak, full sentences. He's supposed to know only little tidbits.
I was impressed with the voice cast as well. It does irk me though that the only familiar aspect of the show is the aliens.
This was talked about a looonnnngggg looonnnnngggggggggg time ago, forgot all about it, time to watch!
I think they MIGHT do a few more Disney shows in anime form or however you call it!

huh? lilo is insulting, or the anime is trying to insult disney,…what o_O

He's also supposed to be smarter than a supercomputer, so it's not that far off. =P

You know how everyone criticizes 4Kids because they "localize" anime to insulate children from foreign culture? That basically summarizes what's going on with the Stich anime, because Hawaii reminds Japanese children of Pearl Harbour, which reminds adults of Japan in World War II and therefore it must be censored!
Whats next, family guy the anime?
Don't say that!!! They've come up with lamer idea before.
but anyway, doesn't anyone else take the time to notice that they chose EXCELLENT voice actors for all of them? I mean they don't all sound like their American counterparts, but most of them do, and the rest of them were very well played… I like it >_>
The first thing I noticed was the distinct lack of Stitch in his natural state, with the extra hands and antennae.
Well, this is weird….

In all fairness, it's nowhere as bad as those hackjobs.
What they did here is take the character of Stitch and do whatever the hell they wanted with him. I haven't actually watched it so I can't say whether it was for good or bad, but that's about it.
The closest approximation to this would be something like Power Rangers, and even then it's not quite accurate.
Just adding, this anime kicked Bleach out of its primetime slot.
I watched the whole first episode and the show seems kinda weird to me. Too many changes from Lilo and Stitch. Also I looked up the cast on AnimeNewsNetwork and they've got some cool people. Jumba = Nappa.
Holy crap! Stitch's voice is DEAD ON to the original!
really? i thought it was kinda off
Did Stitch land somewhere close to Japan or is this still in Hawaii?
i didn't even know that existed. ya learn something new every day.
Separating Lilo from Stitch just doesn't sit well with me, it's like "let's ignore the whole point of the original title!" let alone all the gutting of anything Hawaiian, very 4Kids-y in a way (tho this is an original title all together based on an original property and not just a re-editing of exisiting content, but the vibe it gives off is the same)
But Japan LOVES Stitch to a ridiculous amount, I saw more Stitch merchandise there than I did any other mascot. I kinda wish they had that merch in America 'cus it's way better than the crap we get here. My Stitch feeding a deer a cookie phone charm is amazing.
