Just watched the Episode and it as Great!! You guys did wonderfully!! Applause
ONLY thing worth noting: Caimie doesn't call him "Hachi" she calls him "Hacchin", it's a little nickname she has for him, and it's kindof important as that's the reason the Strawhats, Especially Nami, always said " 'Hacchin'? is it him?… Nah, couldn't Be", the way it's put in there now they flat out say "It's an Octopus Fishman named Hachi" it's pretty obvious who it is.

Well, the staff had some contention about this, but we weren't sure if it was Caimie's honorifics. Like she used it for everone, so we thought we should drop it for Hachi as well.

She uses it normally for Everyone (IE: Luffy-Chin") However, Hachi is a Special Case.
She doesn't Honorific him (IE: Hachi-Chin) She tacks the Chin on as though it were a nickname she's given him, "Hacchin".
Again, the only reason I bring it up is, this makes it kinda awkward in that The Strawhats don't immediately go "an Octopus Fishman Named Hachi?! Like Hell we're saving him!!"

The Translation work they've been doing for the past few eps has been some of the best Anime Fansubbing I've seen in a LONG time

those are really non-events.
Flashy attacks shouldn't be the main point of focus, it should be how good is the Translation itsself!!

I know I know but they also have opening effects and they do karaoke for the songs in the episode their quality is super and good
but the main reason is that they hardsub

EVERY anime company in America does that actually.
Death Note (done By Viz) fansubbers were issued a Cease and Desist Letter just before they reached the last 4 or so Eps by Viz.
so the Group doing it made a new website calling themselves "Cease and Desist Fansubs" and finished the series.

Question: are your softsubs compatible with Windows Media Player? Because I can't seem to get them to show up, and WMP is the only player on my computer that doesn't slow the video down so that the audio and subs go out of synch at points. I have that problem with VLC, Zoom, and WMC, so I have tried the other players.

I can say that that documentary is the main reason why I translate the way I do, too. Although I disagree with the whole "Honorifics should be excluded and names should be written in western-style order with the family name last"-points, I think everything else he said made a lot of sense… Even though he said it in an impossibly whiny manner.
