Let's get some recommendations!
Does anyone know of any really good fantasy series, something along the lines of Record of Lodoss War? Preferably anime, but manga would be good as well.

Berzerk, of course, though it's really gory.
Louie the Rune Hunter is decent, too.
Though I've not seen it, Escaflowne is also a decent fantasy series, from what I hear.

its a good fantasy mech the only thing i regret is that its too short
i had a straw hat but it became to small for me I'm a living One Piece anime ad

My favourite fantasy anime are El Hazard & Slayers. They both have some comedy, so not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for. Scrapped princess is also worth a look.

Thanks everyone! I've already read/watched most of those, but I've had my eye on Rune Soldier for a while, so now I might actually give it a try!

Rebirth is pretty decent– it's like Beserk lite-- apparently many similar themes, but less violent.

Louie the Rune Soldier (Rune Solider in the U.S. release) is an just awesome. I'm borrowing the series from a college friend and I'm really enjoying it.
