Iron Mike? - God, the good ol' days are gone… and yeah, Cap'n. I don't think he'd suit much else other than being a boxer, especially with the reputation he has.

I'm not a huge boxing fan but I've seen how he won lots of matches but seeing him throwing his towel in was just suprising!

I've always been a huge fan of Mike Tyson in the ring. Outside of it, well… he is probably the most intriguing individual I've ever seen. At times he seems to hold a high intelligence and other times (I guess when he's off the meds) he's a fucking lunatic...
Sad to see him just give up like that, but maybe he can sort out his life now or something. Boxing will miss him if nothing else.

What happened to Tyson? 4kids sack the guy who was his voice actor? I could not imagine a person with a less appropriate voice.
He long ago destroyed his career, by getting thrown in the slammer at the peak of his prestiege.

It's gonna be a long time before my interest in heavyweight boxing picks back up.

Tyson is abit too old , he had 50 matches i think ,6 or 4 loses ,all win and 44 K.O isnt it? if i remember ..
but his fights had Biting is already a Cheating in a matches , and he RAPE a girl before .. So ,Tyson is not a good person
and he's rich enough to forget about Boxing ,with his money and big house,car and etc ,he'd live for his whole life with those things ,no worry …

Yeh, he only fought that match to the pay the bills. He's more than 20 million dollars in debt, but he pocketed like 5 million just for the fight on Sunday, and I'd say most, if not all will goto his debtors.

Yeh, it's sad to see a once, genuinely great competitor go out in such a bleak fashion. Also, the timing sucks, because I'm just getting into Hajime no Ippo for the first time & Tyson's such a major role model in Ippo's life.

Eh, even though being broke is his fault, I don't think he can really be blamed, it happens to a lot of people who just aren't good with money. Especially when they deal with Don King.
And when I in the news what he'd said, that his career had been over since '90, when I was three, I realize that it was true. But still, it sucks that he's been thoroughly KOd in and out of the ring.

The guy was finished years ago. When he came back and got his ass kicked so hard that he had to chomp some ear, you knew this guy was finished, but as others have said, the guy is in some serious debt and needs all the cash he can get so he kept coming back to get his ass kicked. I was shocked when I saw the Vegas odds on this fight. Tyson was favored even though McBride had like 30 pounds on him and about 8 inches of reach. Who the hell would bet on Tyson? Well, whatever happens, he'll always be the star of my favorite boxing video game of all time, Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

I really wonder where his life will lead him now. I really do have pity for him, he pretty much spent all of his life being taken advantage of.

All jokes aside, you really can't help but feel sorry for the guy even if he was a pure asshole during his whole career. It's kinda weird to see him go from something to nothing that quick.

i feel sorry for the guy, i've a feeling the people around him were just pushing him to do something he didn't want to do anymore, like he said his his heart wasn't in it, but it wouldn't be easy for him to do anything else just because of his reputation.
