Throughout the manga we have seen and heard of many pirates locked up in impel down, I believe through luffy's actions some will escape. Who do you think will escape impel down?

let me be really evil right now. I think that whitebeard and his crew will get to Impel down while Luffy is on lvl 5 and that the strength of Whitebeards crew and that of the marines fighting will cause Impel Down to start cracking up. Luffy, Ace, Bon Clay and Buggy are the only ones that get out. All others drown and get eaten by giant seakings
After 200 chapters or so we will see the villains again (Oda doesn't kill anyone). The reason the villains aren't death is that the seaking is actually a submarine made by vegapunk and he used these pirates to experiment upon. Certainly because there were interesting abilities like croodiles or mr.3's which he could really use for his research. It was okay for the world government and they portrayed them death in all news papers so there wouldn't be a revolution by the civilians because of this blatant violation of human rights

They can either band together and go their separate ways when the escape or form as Luffys temporary allies until he meets his crew again. -

Ace, Croc, Mr 1,2,and 3,Jimbei, Hancock, Buggy, any rookies that were caught by Kizaru, and a couple unnamed, complete badass and powerful horrors who are locked down in levels 5 and 6.
Those horrors escape as Impel Down is torn apart and we'll see them again once the strawhats enter the new world as these guys are powerful monsters ranking up there with the SBK in terms of power and are completely insane and violent.

I doubt there're many pirates locked up in levels 5 and 6 anyway. Unless we get another introduction to a group of pirates like with the supernovas.

That's probably true. There cant be too many, and a lot of them must be pretty old too. I wonder if we'll get to see some old Gol D Roger pirates.Ohh, and by the way, to bring up the "is Jaguar D. Saul dead or not" topic. If he really didnt die, as some people think, that'll mean that he should be locked up in lvl 5 (or 6 if the level exist). That would be pretty cool.

There are only five levels, and it has already been stated that Ace (and probably Jinbei and Crocodile) are in level 5.Talking about Crocodile, I'm still wondering why he didn't escape from his cell after Miss Goldenweek came to free him. So if Luffy were to free Croc, will he still decide to stay in his cell ?

Not exactly, Oda said that Croc's bounty was low because of his status. From the day he became a shichibukai, his bounty has been frozen.
But considering that he is a former shichibukai, and that he went through the baptismal procedure with ease, I think he has been imprisoned on level 5.The casting of this level 5 must be awesome : Ace, Jinbei, Crocodile, some or maybe all of the supernovaes, and other great pirates… Just imagine ALL OF THEM free !!!
I hope Luffy will get in soon.

I'm sick of people asking this. CROCODILE IS BADASS. He deserves to be on lvl 5. He almost destroyed a fuggin country, a BIG counrty btw, with his MIND. And then completly own luffy twice?! Who else, if not him deserves to be there?

Why not them, we dont know what happend to Kidd, Killer and Law after they faced the Pacifista. There is a change that all of the supernowas got defeated and are on their way to be transfered to Impeldown, they might even be there right now.

Well, Urouge, Drake, Hawkins and Apoo are in Impel Down for sure.
The fate of the others is uncertain, but we know that Kidd and Law were considered as the responsibles of the Tenryuubito incident with Luffy, so I doubt that Kizaru let them flee Sabaody so easily. Even if the last time we've seen them, they "only" faced a Pacifista.
Of course the possibility remains that they escaped successfully from the archipelago, as well as Bonney and Capone.@Yonkou#3:

We'll have the confirmation when Luffy will reach the level 5, but if they really succeeded to escape, that would only confirm their potential as future great rivals for Luffy, above the other supernovaes. -
100 mil bounty or not, Croc is a former Shichibukai. That alone should get him stuck in level 5. That and almost destroying a country.
There could be some big shot revolutionary guy is there who'll play a role in the New World. They can't all be pirate prisoners.

All of them. I'm gonna say a big majority of the Pirates are going to escape from Impel Down.
Including all the Major ones down in Lvl 5. The World Government are going to get fucked up big time…not only by Whitebeard & Co..but by Dragon and the Huge revolt in Impel Down.I do not understand how people cannot grasp the idea of Crocodile being in Lvl 5? He was a fucking Shichbuckai ffs. Is that reason alone not enough?

I'm still trying to figure out why Croc didn't try to escape. He must have known something big was stiring in the world, for him not to escape. He must have known something was going to happen, and it would lead to him getting out with approval by the world government.
Watch and see as they ask for Crocs help against White Beard and in return give him his freedom. But then just hunt him down again later.

How???!!!!! I'm banking on Croc having his own plan completely independent from what's going on in the pirate/marine world now and he'll just be using this war as a cover to hide what he's really about to do. There's no way Croc could've known of Ace going after BB AND figure that BB would be strong enough to defeat Ace AND then have in mind that his plan would fail so BB could take his spot as a shichi. I'm sorry but forethought like that would have to require a DF.
I figure there is someone or something that can lead Croc to an ancient warship or something of that scale. I can see this making sense seeing as ID probably has prisoners who have a lot to do with poneglyphs, ancient warships, etc.

I think it will be a massive breakout like everyone else is saying, but I also think Croc wont play along with the breakout. I wouldn't put it past him to use it as a chance to get his Shikibukai status back, and with all the stuff going down plus a massive breakout of the worlds most dangerious criminals I think the World Government would be desperate enough to do it.

I would've agreed if this lvl 6 thing wasn't brought up. I'm sure Croc is probably got a nice rule going on but I doubt he plans to stay there for life.
Like I said in some other thread I wouldn't be surprised that he only wanted to be sent to ID to get someone or something having to do with the ancient weapons among w/e else he may want or he could have a completely new plan that's keeping him there for the time being.
I'm pretty sure no matter how badass you are you wouldn't waste ya life in a prison. Even if Croc's "runnin things" he's not running everything there. I just don't see him content with that.
EDIT- I almost see somebody like Mr. 2 asking Croc if he intends to stay there the rest of his life and Croc responding by calling him a dumbass and then revealing some of his plan.
