Halleluja I finally found (and got) the One Piece manga volume one yesterday. In my opinion it is better than the anime in some ways.

Very true, but I still prefer the anime cuz the fights come out a lot better. It's often hard to tell what's going on in the manga if it's an intense fight… my wayward opinion atleast ;)

if you love the first manga that much, then you'll surely love the rest of the other manga volumes!!!Trust me, Oda's art and story just keeps getting better and better!!!

I recently got vol 21 and 22 and I cant get my eyes off the manga coz its very funny, especially seeing pandaman instead of crocodile in the inside cover of 21!!!

also: manga kicks and rolls around with the anime. oda has a way to draw action that makes, at least for me, the whole animation in the well anime. useless....

i like the manga better too cos the anime tends to have little diffeences herre and there, for no reason whatsoever (like usopp sitting on the ground outside of kaya's house in the manga and in the anime he's on a tree!)
