I'll go with My-Hime.
I mean, I like the music & Miyu is a cool character but the ending just ruins it.
Waste of time, it is.

Love Hina manga. I hated life and everything around me after reading that manga, it made me that angry. I over sympathized with the main character, who though stupid was generally looked down upon because the female characters jumped to a conclusion–which is a pet peeve of mine. That, and the story was basically about this guy taking the same test over and over. It would have been easier if I understood how Japanese entrance exams works, but this only added to my frustration. It was a manga based on repetition, mistaken conclusions, and was frankly downright sexist, though what should I expect from the harem genre? And what was with that girl with the sword? How do you attack do men in broad daylight without someone calling the police?! Stupid.

…4Kids One Piece...
...Dragonball GT...
...Naruto......I think that's it.
-
the first season of Rosario+Vampire anime . I thought hey what a good story (a human guy accidentally goes to a school for monster and falls for a vampire)BUT NO they put so much fanservice in the show it drived me crazy(oooh oooo). Maka is or never was in love with tsukne(or whatever his name is). she only liked him because of the blood. The endings sucked (in animation and music). and oh dont get me started on the second season. 2 ep made me stop watching it. i cant believe i thought they would change but i diegres

Saikano(manga)- I don't regret reading it so much as buying the whole series (thankfully it's only seven volumes). There was so much about it that made no sense and the art style irritated me so much. Not to mention it is totally depressing and for all the emotional turmoil and trippy aesthetics there's not much of a payoff.
-
I'm gonna say it and I don't care who hates me for it-
Evangelion, That's right, what so many had dubbed the "greatest series ever". I hated all the characters and their bitchy, emo, parental issues; not to mention they were all Bat S@*! crazy. NONE of the story made and sense to me, there were too many references to christianity(Honestly I'd rather read the Bible in one sitting) and I never had any idea as to what was going on. And then there's Asuka, need I say any more(I don't like her in case you were wondering)!
I'd go on but I think that I have said enough. The animation was good and the EVA's themselves were kinda cool, Plus it was a Gainax series and I like them. Still I couldn't get into this series and I lost alot of sleep trying to understand it(I'm not Joking!), and I apologize in advanced to anyone who is a fan of Evangelion, I'm not trying to insult you, I was just merely stating my opinion!
-
Battle Royal - Monster Cock will never leave my mind.
-
Speaking of that, once I pulled up a chapter of Battle Royale at random to read for the hell of it. Too bad it turned out to be the chapter where this kid gets shot in the abdomen and that vain, psycho woman essentially rapes him in his death throes in attempt to make him ''feel better'', while he screams that she's killing him.
Needless to say, I regretted that.

About 1/3rd of Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water.
Captain Nemo was almost not worth the fillers. Besides that, the epilogue made every scene involving my two favorite characters creepy and
! Nemo getting Electra pregnant made next to no sense. Why does he need a child to carry on his legacy when Nadia has been his daughter this whole time?
Oh, and Nadia constantly fluctuates between being mildly entertaining and being PeTA given human form. Which is annoying as hell.
-
I read 2 chapters of battle royale, and I'm done. I can't take it…. There's something wrong with that author.
Good God.

I'll just tell you that the christian references where thrown in for the hell of it.The creator admitted it.Asuka is annoying, but she gets what she desrerves in the movie.
And i thought that only Sanji was was bitching around.
Oh well, the manga is better than the anime. Now,if they would ever finish it… -
Depends what you mean by regret; I regret wasting money on merchandise like games and such definitely. But at least I got thrills out of the series for awhile.
Bleach was good until it tried to be DBZ in 5 minutes. In DBZ, when they needed a year of training they actually went into a special room and trained for a year. In Bleach, they go into a not so special room and train for 3 days to get 20 years of training… -_- Plus the characters are ridiculously powerful, and the characters that don't increase their strength are just forgotten (hate series that do that).
The other is Naruto. It was good until a guy named Pein killed 'someone' (keeping it spoiler free) and then 2 'certain people' had the worst fight in history. Now the chapters are dull and boring IMO.
-
Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu. Probably one of the worst shows I've seen, not only because it was badly put together, badly developed and had an ending I disliked, but because it didn't offer anything new to what I've already watched. It was basically a big, fat waste of time.
-
Why always (or manga) in thread title? Thats really sad.

gotta be naruto…

Samurai Champloo

Bleach for sure. Never saw something on its level of awfulness. The writing and plot was so thin and poor it gave me an headache.

Funniest thing about bleach was that it's writing up until after Aizen left was genius.
-
Samurai Champloo
no way. i just watched that and i thought it was good. :O
anyways, mine is "I My Me, Strawberry Eggs" It sounded cute. About a male gym teacher that dresses as a girl, so he can work in a school with only girl teachers to prove he is a good teacher, even if he is a guy.
The whole reversed gender equality issue sounded good. Too bad they're too busy showing panty shots and such. I can deal with fanservice, but not when it's hypocritical to the message of the whole series. The charicters were also 2 dementional, and the story plots were plain dumb. The issue in the first episode, was the girls were in gym with long skirts. (so as not to arrouse those nasty young guys) Can it get any more ridiculous.
anybody wanna buy an anime?

Reign: The Conqueror…I'm glad I didn't watch it....but I'm angry my eyes were molested by the few seconds of it i did see...
-
Why always (or manga) in thread title? Thats really sad.
what is something wrong with it. i think anime before i think manga(meaniing my first thought to have the title was just anime. Then i thought i would not get that much content if i was just anime. So I just added(or manga). would it be better if I just have if any thread i make like this anime and manga
back on topic Raxhephon the movie
put me off the series in ALL -
I regret watching Pretear. Though shouting at the main character during anime club was rather enjoyable.
Damn, do I hate that chick.
-
Funniest thing about bleach was that it's righting up until after Aizen left was genius.
The first Arc was amazing, and the second definitely kept you interested, but personally it started to lose it after Ichigo and Kenpachi fought. Then after the whole thing with Aizen I was like "… whatever."
-
I spelled "write" wrong… dear god.

Also, just a friendly heads up, you should check your spelling.

Totally agreed, overhyped garbage.

I stil say every anime listed was better than Reign: The Conqueror. aka Reign: The Eye Molester
-
no way. i just watched that and i thought it was good. :O
Well pretty much everybody besides me thinks it was good. I'm not even saying that it is bad but this is the one series that really did give me nothing. Neither entertainment nor information nor a headache. I'm not saying the series doesn't have it, but I personally did get nothing out of it. I just felt that I've wasted my time.
I mean for Naruto at least I can say that it gaves me a headache considering how often the series reaches a new low each time you think it couldn't get worse. But at least that's entertainig. Also I learn something of it, because it shows me what mistakes you should never make as a storyteller. But with Samurai Champloo I didn't have even that. It was just there and when it was over I was the same as before. Meaning I regret watching it for wasting my time.
I don't blame the series though since it's rather my fault for not being compatible with it. But the result is the same. =/

….Did i just type Sanji instead of Shinji?...
Well,it was late at that time, and i can understand why you don't like the series. It's either love or hate with Evangelion.OMG!!EVANGELION MEANS GOSPEL IN GREEK,THAT'S SYMBOLIK STAF YA KNOU.

Shippuden sucks because of pacing, and it took them over 60 episodes to fix that problem.

I spent $80 on Flame of Recca before I realized it was the most piss poor example of a battle manga on the market that had not even the faintest clue on how to tell a story. At least I was smart enough to borrow MAR from someone else instead of wasting more money on a lazy attempt of writing by that author. Good I still just hate that I spent $80 on freaking Flame of Recca. Ugh.

Kodomo No Jikan.
Before you go "I can't believe you even considered reading that!/seriously?"..etc
Was trying to convince one of my more…ignorant friends (seinen reader who considers most shonen to be <every stereotype="" under="" the="" sun="">) to try One Piece, he said he'd do it on the condition that I read a seinen he chose.
Big.F**king.Mistake.
I noticed the warning signs early on, but I plodded through because I didn't like the idea of 'losing' to the bastard, and I barely have anyone to discuss OP with (besides you guys of course).
Anyway, this picture pretty much sums it up for me;
I mean, I had gathered that the series was about an 'innocent' girl who tries to seduce her (virgin)teacher and fails because he doesn't have any feelings in return(in a sort of comedic way), but it seems I was a little…off.
http://www.onemanga.com/Kodomo_no_Jikan/5/20/
http://www.onemanga.com/Kodomo_no_Jikan/5/21/
http://www.onemanga.com/Kodomo_no_Jikan/5/22/I drew the line there.
Turns out it was just a prank (he doesn't actually read it) and there were no hard feelings. You'd think i'd bludgeon his head in, but my awe reading Berserk just outwieghed my anger I suppose.
EDIT2: Fixed</every>

About 1/3rd of Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water.
Captain Nemo was almost not worth the fillers. Besides that, the epilogue made every scene involving my two favorite characters creepy and
! Nemo getting Electra pregnant made next to no sense. Why does he need a child to carry on his legacy when Nadia has been his daughter this whole time?
Oh, and Nadia constantly fluctuates between being mildly entertaining and being PeTA given human form. Which is annoying as hell.
Nadia suffered from the fact that it was such a big hit that even though it was only supposed to be 26 episodes it was expanded to 39 eps, regardless of the filler hell that put the story in. If the series had gone from episode 22-episode 36 or so, like it was originally supposed to, the story would have been tighter, plot threads would have flowed more cleanly and some plot stuff would have connected better. (tho I enjoyed about half the filler island episodes and the character development and fun they provided, despite the fact the other half were terrible) But as to your spoiler question…
! Nemo came to understand that Electra's entire life and motivation was made up of two things. 1-Revenge against Gargoyle. 2- Love for Nemo. He realized, (when she shot him and had her lengthy speech_ that she was desperatley in love with him and that she would sacrifice everything to be with him, including her life. She repeatedly tried to kill herself and the entire crew to gain revenge against Gargoyle and always became angry when Nemo lost his resolve for Nadia's sake (to the point of actually shooting him). Before Nadia came back into his life, Nemo was also willing to die for his cause, but was tempered in desire for revenge, and learned again to cherish life, due to the influence of his own child. (Such as when they stopped chasing Gargoyle to go find rare medicine for Marie.) And he certainley felt something for Electra too, though it was harder for him to accept since he'd watched her grow up and she too was something like a daughter to him.
! Obviously we never saw them get together. But Electra becoming pregnant not only fullfilled her truest wish to be Nemo's love, (since they obviously had some physical passion to get to that point…) but also provided Electra a reason to live, in passing on Nemo's legacy.
! By giving her something to live for, a child to take care of and love, (and thus temper her desire for revenge and death), as Nadia did for Nemo, and by REMINDING her of this fact in his last moments, Nemo kept Electra from going on a crazy suicide run to die with him. Given the situation they were in at the end, it would have been EASY for Electra to fly off the handle and do something suicidal in an attempt to save Nemo, or die with him, as she already had done in the past. Those words about legacy were for her sake, not Nemo's. Even pregnant, she still might have done something rash if he hadn't basically told her "Live on, for the sake of life. My memory, your life, and the life of our child to come." His legacy proper was already there in Nadia, his speech to Electra was for her, giving her 2 or 3 really good reasons to hold her emotions in check during that crucial time.
! This would have played out a lot better and made more sense without the 13 episodes of filler between her shooting Nemo and them showing up again for the climax, obviously.
! And yes, the epilouge of Marie growing up and marrying Samson was... odd, though it did add context to all their other scenes together upon a second viewing. It was obviosuly platonic friendly love until she grew up, but yes, a bit of an age gap there. -
Let's see… besides Naruto and Bleach.
-Soul Eater : I dunno... I can't seem to care about anyone other than the heroine. It could be better since I did not read it all.
-Gurren Legan-just a rubbish roller coaster ride that's only good the first time you board it. Stylish though.
-Elven Lied: Garbage
-Ikki Tousen: Equal to Elven Lied with additional rubbish.
-Air Gear: .........
-Inuyasha: Not a fan of the manga. It seems like a school life shojo in an RPG setting with boring demon designs that could not scare a cat.
-Love Hina: Already stated
-Excel Saga: Pretty much a waste of time. Some eps were good though.I have more, but I don't care to remember.
-
While I agree with you on most of your points Hiroy(especially Air Gear..ugh) I don't think it's fair to dismiss TTGL as a 'rubbish roller coaster ride'.
It's not exactly trying to be epic or anything, and at the least its probably a 'summer popcorn flick'
I mean, sure it's got its cheesy one liners, cliché characters, silly plot and over-the-top action scenes-you watch it because it's fuckin' awesome
…and then you see it on TV some 3-5 years later and think; "wow, this wasn't actually that good come to think of it"
-
That's what I was getting at. I was trying to rewatch it with some friends, but I did not get the same feeling when I first watched it. It felt dull, boring and the action did not seem as fast paced and exiting as I thought it was. It's not bad, but what I said was really my second impression. If I did not not watch it again after the first time, maybe it would have been a nice memory.
Unlucky me.
-
Regarding the age gap mentioned regarding Nadia, remmeber the time period it takes place in. Age gaps like that werne't uncommon then.
Now, my list…
1.) FLCL/Fooly Cooly/Furi Kuri/Horseshit - This anime fails at everything it tries to do on so many levels I am almost insulted by its existence. It still stands as the only TV show so terrible I actually began to get irritated, and downright angry, while watching it. If this show's supposed to be s'damn funny, why is this kid moping like Shinji on valum all over the place?! Why can't this girl with the perpetually puckered lips talk in any way that isn't out of her nose?! Why is everyone whining?! Why is that kid's father a pointless retard?! What the hell is going on?! Would you people quit making metaphors and advance the god damn plot! And someone tell that vespa chick to stop fucking screaming! Am I supposed to think she's cool?! 'Cause I kinda want her to die... Oh, last episode? Great! Hmmmm... Lotta angst... Lotta shit that makes no sense... AND PINK-HEAD BITCH DOESN'T DIE?! FUCK THIS SHOW!
My hatred for Fooly Cooly runs deep. Bad/failed entertainment is one of my biggest pet peeves, and this show is so terrible that when one professes to liking it, I consider, for the splittest of seconds, that they may be suffering from a mental disease. Most likely, this is my brain subconsciously trying to cope with something that would otherwise BLOW MY MIND.
2.) Reign the Conqueror - Man-thongs and horseshit. Standard Peter Chung procedure.
3.) Neon Genesis Evangelion - Same reasons as previously stated.
4.) Anything done by GAINAX after Nadia: Secret of Blue Water. Seems like they blew all the creative talent they had on that one show. Seriously, GAINAX is unforgivably terrible, and their popularity is the very definition of undeserved. Now everything they touch is a nonsensical mindfuck filled with moronic fanservice, asenine endings that make no sense to anyone not on drugs of any kind, and often times borderline pedophilia (anyone else notice the women who were of-age in Evangelion got the least amount of fanservice? Kinda creepy…).
There's more, but I'm all ranted out for right now.

A usa made manga called the 13th juror.
Basically to decide if a person is guilty they take a unrelated person put him into a VR machine and see if they can make him kill someone. Creepy.
