Trying to find a good anime DVD set

I know i've already posted this in the "help" section, but I also felt this would belong in this section as well since it does relate to "tv-dvds" kind of situation, so sorry in advance. anyhow, here is the topic:

Alright guys, i've been trying to look for the best possible anime set for x-mas that goes into three catagories: Total minutes (length), quality, and price.

so far I have two idea's from rightstuf, which is

Robotech Protoculture Collection DVD MegaSet: I've heard amazing things about this anime and its usually around 150$ and is only like 60$ on here and it comes with an astounding 21 disc set, which is like holy crap.
Slayers DVD Bundle: This set is cheap too, but has about half the time of the other set, but i've heard good things. it's 40$ which is much cheaper, and i've heard is a good series.

If you have ANY idea's on this please help, if not, please select 1 of these 2 options.

I've heard good things about Slayers from Voice Actor fans but as far as the series suggested I'd say pick either one. I've heard good things about both.

(Most anime I get on DVD is One Piece, YuYu Hakusho, Cowboy Bebop, and Lucky Star.)

Giant Robo is cheap and legendary. You could find a good deal on that easy. Also Princess Tutu thin-packs are a steal, though if ADV bellies up they could become collector's items. Be warned!

Berserk is getting a new boxset in a few weeks, with a nice price cut along with it. If you always wanted to get that one there's never been a better time.

Peach Girl is pretty awesome series, and rightstuf have the boxset on sale in their Christmas thing for $29.99.

I can say that was the first romance series that I have enjoyed since I watched Fruits Basket.
