Katekyo Hitman REBORN! Discussion

I would hate it, but I'm pretty confident in the Future Varia showing up
-
I still keep up with D-Gray Man, but just through the spoilers
every once and awhile I'll read it on One Manga
but that whole level 4 akuma arc just sucked on so many levels. But D.Gray Man has some potential
REBORN just kind of fizzled out to this Pokemon piece of shit. I don't even see the manga going anywhere after the future arc
Wow….you guys hate EVERYTHING. Can't you appreciate ANYTHING?
-
i loved it until this arc. Its gay
I dont care how much training you get, in 1 day you shouldnt be able to kill people that were on you cant even beat 10 years in the future

That's the nature of human beings we don't all care for the same things.

I like plenty of things about Reborn
like Naito Longchamp. He's my absolute favorite.
-
Hmm, it seems the Reborn anime is going into filler with 84. It seems to involve Haru going onto the surface, where she gets attacked by a guy with a bee box of the lightning attribute and has to be saved by Bianchi. Well, I suppose the anime is only about thirty chapters behind the manga, so they have to put filler somewhere, and better here than the attack on the base, I guess. Any responses? "Filler? DO NOT WANT"? "The anime sucks anyway, so who cares?"? "It can't be any worse than the canon material"? "Future arc + filler = ultimate failure"? "Eh, it doesn't really matter"? "Yay, filler! Now we can see the other characters in this arc do something!"? Something along one of those lines?

I really do wish Hibari'd get an opponent that he wouldn't crush in a one-sided fight, though. He's had such bad-ass fights, if he was on a somewhat level playing field with someone that'd be great. And against Mukuro really didn't count.
-
-
Besides everyone bitches and complains about a series at one point or another. Hell even I bitch and complain.

If I recall correctly, none of the Vongola guardians and the Millefiore's elite members (like Gamma and what not) had a confrontation with each other in the future. It's only when their past selves appeared that the Millefiore's elite men starting fighting against them. Actually, Hibari effortlessly owned Gamma before Gokudera stepped up to the plate, so it's obvious that the guardians could hold their own in the future.
And training isn't really what's helping the past versions succeed as they are anyway- the fact that they all still have the Vongola Rings is what really helps. Tsuna wouldn't have the upgraded X-gloves without his Vongola Sky Ring, and, without the upgraded X-gloves, he wouldn't have the X-burner- the ability that's allowed him to defeat all of his opponent so far.
-
^people forget (12 characters)
-
Hopefully it will level out soon and start getting really interesting again. Besides the main thing I'm waiting for anyway is to see what adult Reborn and adult Tsuna look like.
-
I'm waiting for that as well. Does anyone else feel that half of the milliefore will become part of the vongola family after this arc?
-
Considering Mukuro & the Varia have I wouldn't rule it out.
-
but I don't find it possible as now. I mean tsuna can go and find all of these people when they get back from the future and just offer them positions to join…or somethin like that. The Varia never really ""joined"" them, in fact they were already apart of vongola long before tsuna and his crew came around.

Actually, I'm sort of suprised in a good way. They needed to drop back to filler material, so they created a new filler… Bad thing that this'll bring: The future arc in the anime will take a bit longer to finish

I wonder if this show will be dubbed? And if it is then where would it be shown? Toonami? But it's a show practically spouting" Hey kids, join the Mafia!" and Tsuna used to get shot everyday in the head. Sorry for changing the subject that way..
Anyway..I like this arc
One more thing..I read on Wikpedia that besides Tsuna, Kyoko got shot with the Dying Will bullet, has this really happened, if so can someone show me?! -
yes it did happen somewhere back in volume 1 or 2 I believe.
-

Eventhough they attacked the 9th and tried to kill Tsuna and the rest of his family over the rings.

One more thing..I read on Wikpedia that besides Tsuna, Kyoko got shot with the Dying Will bullet, has this really happened, if so can someone show me?!No, I seriously doubt it would be on Toonami, especially considering the underwear scenes and the fact that he keeps 'dying'. More likely it would be aired on Adult Swim. That way they could avoid the lawsuits caused by stupid kids shooting people in the head with 'dying will bullets'
And yes, Kyoko has been shot before. In fact, she's been shot twice. Once after Reborn convinced her to play Russian Roulette, and once when she and Haru were accidentally poisoned. Reborn shot them to save them. Then they raided a cake shop
-
@Sandai:
Eventhough they attacked the 9th and tried to kill Tsuna and the rest of his family over the rings.
It was all part of XANXUS (sp?) plan. Think about it for a second the ring battles were all a diversion to keep everyone occupied that way no one would notice what was really going on. It makes sense why the varia was trying to kill all of them, it's simple, XANXUS knew that tsuna wasn't a threat at first but that he was going to be one. What's the best way to kill something before it has the chance to be born? (this is a metaphor for tsuna's power being released) stab the mother in the womb and that's what the varia was trying to do. The reason for attacking the 9th shouldn't really need an explanation. X(i hate typing that full name out) wanted to be the 10th boss and what better way to be the 10th vongola boss as fast as possible? the death of the 9th vongola boss.

Please, there's no way Reborn could go to Adult Swim. Even the "childish" anime series they air like Inuyasha and Bleach have a lot of blood and inappropriate content at some points that legitimize their presence, but the Reborn anime has almost none of that, and the instances that do occur are easily edited. The anime has already done most of the necessary censoring for Toonami, with Reborn's green gun and toned down violence and stuff. In addition, though I like the anime, you can't deny the aura of childishness the series gives off, especially during the Daily Life episodes and the scenes with young Lambo. Unless they do a Shin-chan style dub with it (which I imagine would piss off a lot of people), there's no way it would work on Adult Swim.
And Tsuna in boxers is hardly as issue. Concerning his tendency to be shot by Reborn, the anime clearly shows the bullet turning into a ball of light before hitting him, but it could still be a problem. However, the biggest problem is definitely the mafia thing. Everything else would work more or less unchanged on Toonami.
The real problem is whether or not Toonami would last long enough until Reborn is dubbed.
-
Reborn could not work on Toonami plain & simple.
-
Tsuna in boxers was never an issue, but I kinda doubt that Toonami would want to play a Mafia anime.
-
I was more reffering to the Kyoko and Haru undies scenes. Tsuna's boxers scenes aren't that bad
But yeah, toonami wouldn't want to show mafia, like you said -
Adult Swim probably wouldn't take it either because it's been toned down so much that it's like Saturday morning cartoons for kids in Japan
Reborn's essentially in the American Media purgatory now

They took Shin Chan.
-
the new chapter had nothing exciting happen except for more uri kicking ass. Seems like next week we'll get a more in depth flashback on gamma.
-
@Sandai:
They took Shin Chan.
which is quite a bit cruder
-
A bit? I'd say Shin Chan's a lot cruder in comparison to Reborn
-
shin chan and reborn arn't on the same level.
-
Of popularity (In Japan).
-
well I wasn't thinking of popularity, it doesn't matter what's popular unless your some fruit who has a collection of mens vogue and nsync cd's.
-

…..... ew nsync
But yeah, I know what you mean. Shin Chan is a lot more perverted with lots of shit/penis/sex jokes.
However, I feel that Reborn could fit into Adult Swim seeing as how when the actual story arcs began, bloodshed came with it full throttle. The series may have begun tame, but then it went to death mode -
…Cowboy bebop was about organized crime. That was kinda... you know... the major theme there.
I could see Reborn working on adult swim as well as anything else. Even though it's the mafia, it's kind of a robin hood story with the "good criminals" fighting the "bad criminals"
anyway, I just got into Reborn. XD I really enjoy all of the characters. Kinda sad how little the women come into play, though. Haru would kick so much ass if they'd actually train her.
-
Cowboy Bebop was about Bounty Hunter's who struggle to find their next meal ticket.

There's always Bianchi until you meet Lal Mirch.

You don't seem to be incapable of not complaining about a 4 day old comment.

Looking past the double negation, why can't he bring that up again? Has it stopped being valid? Have you changed your mind?

Bianchi and Lal Mirch are so awesome. Chrome does an amazing job too. I guess I was just dissapointed when Reborn pulled a "Wimmens, get in the kitchen and make me a sandwich" to Kyoto and Haru.
I really wanted to see both of them join the fray. Or see that their future selves were.
-

I don't really mind him bringing up the comment again it's just that post kind of seemed to have some unnecessary hostility in it.

That didn't bother me too much (and I'm a girl), and besides it make sense seeing as Kyoko and Haru really don't have any special abilities as such (or at least not yet, they might as their future selves)
It's been proven already that they are fairly decent cooks, by the fact that just about every time you turn around they're cooking something in the kitchen, especially at the beginning of the series. So it's obvious they would be the obvious choice for taking care of meals. -
196 is out, it was actually pretty good

That's because there was a detailed post about all the reasons why Reborn would fit on Toonami, yet your only rebuttal is that "it wouldn't work" without any evidence to back up your claims
-
If anything I did that to avoid repeating myself.
-
I really dont know what would it would fit on, For like the battles it seems like Toonami stuff, but the comedy seems like Adult Swim, Reborn really fluctuates, did someone say somthing about blood? The only time there was blood was in the Rokudo Mukuro arc. If this show is dubbed, I hope they dont put the names in Western order, I like saying Rokudo Mukuro, its like a maze in only 2 words.Mukuro Rokudo sounds stupid.
-
I liked the chapter alot, this leads me to believe that the black order (can't remember there actual family name for the life of me) will sooner or later join the vongola's in order to take byakugan down.
-
Don't forget, there are the soccer moms. This anime could be good bait for them to complain about. It should really go on [adult swim], so the dub could be done pretty well.
